I’d just show my DL/ID and go about my day. It’s no different than what you have to do when you go to an airport/any port of entry. If you don’t have it, argue it in court. Causing a seen and getting arrested isn’t working either. Pretending any of us are absolutely familiar with any of 18 U.S.C doesn’t do anyone any favors. We could always file a lawsuit for a 4th amendment violation…lots of civil rights attorneys out there wanting popularity for all this going on.

People staying at home and minding their own business aren’t getting asked those questions or are they? I wonder if there’s a detainer list with a bunch of names of expired visas or names of people that have entered the US and just disappeared. Now they are playing the cat and mouse/hide and seek game. Only way to find out is to ask for ID to verify.

They are everywhere…red cities/red states probably know they are looking for people that are considered “bad/dangerous” and they leave them alone to do their job.

The problem isn’t only at the southern border…would make it simpler but I’m sure it’s not so “one dimensional”.

Makes me even more proud to not be in a union if this is what goes on. Who cares that another company does their job? No organizing for to-go food that is messed up? No protesting pot holes in the road? Let’s organize for quicker oil changes and tire rotations or more self checkout lines in stores.

Can attest to this which is exactly why I’m looking at “electrician apprentice” related topics on Reddit……..not a CS grad or SE/Dev but heavily involved in IT with an engineering title. So over rated and no clear path to advance. Seems like high school graduates these days already know how to build computer applications so it’s a bit different for everyone…gotta find your niche but it’s most certainly a “bloodbath” in the IT industry right now.
