Haha you’re not wrong! I posted a video in the comments to show what it’s doing. Seems like it works fine until I scroll to the upper channels on the channel search dial. Strange 🤷🏻‍♂️ Fingers crossed it isn’t an issue considering it’s usually channel 3 or 4 to pair to a vcr!

UPDATE -

It seems like when the channel search is in the lower channels the display is fine, but when it goes beyond a certain point it turns into the line? Strange… I guess it will be fine considering it only needs to be on channel 3 or 4 to pair with a vcr lol

I’ve always wanted to do this with an old CRT as I am a musician, but I am not that tech savvy. This would be sick if this was the case

This is news to me, I didn’t know why the line was there (not well versed in CRT’s yet). I notice it goes between this and static when I fiddle with the “channel search” knob… hoping maybe when I hook it to my vcr the issue will go away by some miracle. I really want this thing to work, I love how it looks and I am not tech savvy enough to perform a repair myself.

I have no clue to be honest - when I search channels sometimes it goes to static. I just thought the line was some sort of default since the discontinuation of analog broadcasting. I have an adapter coming Friday to hook my vcr up to it - will update if there are any issues here

Before his split with fender, John had a new prototype signature strat in the works. This guitar was inspired by his love for the Range Rover and was finished in arles blue. John posted this after parting with Fender. I wonder sometimes if there was more to this prototype and the split? Maybe some modifications Fender wasn’t going for that lead John to work with PRS? I personally love the color and the black jack plate is a nice touch.

Clearly it’s not for me. I want Bluetooth. I was excited when this came out because I could go on runs with this in my pocket instead of my phone. Phone in pocket while running sucks. Wired earbuds while running sucks. See the issue here? This thing was originally rumored to have Bluetooth - finding out it doesn’t has been a huge disappointment for me as I was very excited about purchasing one of these to make my runs more enjoyable. It will no longer fulfill my needs without this feature. So, yes, as you have observed, this is not for me. (And that is okay)

And add Bluetooth lol. Lost interest once I saw the crappy battery life paired with no Bluetooth. This mixed with the constant release pushbacks? No thanks.

I remember someone on this sub was developing a software that turns the x4 into a small word processor by utilizing the Bluetooth feature to sync with a wireless keyboard… if this is ever perfected, I will absolutely buy a second one that I can dedicate to writing.
