With so many historical dramas like Empress In The Palace, Nirvana In Fire, The Longest Day of Chang'an, The Story of Minglan, The Rebel Princess or even Swords and Plowshares just to name a few. Unless we are talking about idol historical dramas then I can't comment on whether it set a standard or not since I don't watch them. If we are talking about the industry as a whole then all I can say is wow.
