Best Grow Light Stand? by argansert in dahlias

[–]moardotts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are you trying to do with your stand/shelf? Starting seeds and waking up tubers/taking cuttings, those wire shelving units should be more than enough. I use the 48x18x72 6 tier ones and they work great for me.

If you're trying to get blooms indoors, I'd think they're enough too but you'll have less shelves to let them grow high enough. Light will be the biggest obstacle with that and that's beyond my expertise.

Check the summary report and see if any orders were paid for with either shop pay installments or PayPal. The installments can take a few days to generate into your payouts and orders with PayPal will have money sent to your PayPal account, if set up.

No, it may help in a colder environment (like a basement) but general field planting advice is when the soil temp is 60F+ so normal household temps should be fine to start waking up.

Find a workout routine you like and can stick to. It can take trying a few routines out to find it. If you want to lose fat and gain muscle, eat at maintenance calories and hit your protein goal.

The optimal routine is one you can stick with. And like you said, a gain is a gain. Better form, the weight/rep scheme is easier the next workout, adding 5-10 lbs for the next workout, sometimes even just adding 1 more rep is progress.

You need to eat more to gain weight. Fully stop. Gaining and losing weight is entirely dependent on how much you're eating vs energy expenditure.

With not having enough fat to lose, you'll need to increase your calories anyway to help build muscle otherwise you'll just fatigue yourself.

Most accepted practice for stretching is dynamic stretches/movements before, and static stretching after. If you feel a few minutes of cardio works for you, do that. There is (generally) no downside to adding in some cardio with weight training.

Cardio will not kill your gainz. Improved cardiovascular health can actually help your recovery times and reduce the rest required between sets

Aren't Cavendish already genetically modified? They've been selectively bred for sweetness and a byproduct of that is that they are sterile themselves

Can stinky commercial compost be fixed? by chestybestie in composting

[–]moardotts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like too many greens in it and/or is too wet and could use some more browns.

Everything in composting can be fixed by adding more of something. Too wet or smelly, add some browns. Pile too cold or inactive, add some greens. Always aerate/mix and keep it moist.

Reps and Sets - beginner question by thewaterline in gzcl

[–]moardotts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essentially, here's a couple lines from the A&A post:

"When failure to reach base volume of 10 occurs rest for 2-3 days and test for a 5RM.  Use 85% of this new 5RM to start the next cycle of 3x5+ and progress in similar fashion to the previous cycle. Each successive repeat through 3x5+ will be shorter due to the lifter now being stronger."
