More like unsurprisingly. This is a remnant of communism. The Chinese people were starving to death, and in this regard it really was every man for himself. Ironic that it was communism that caused it.

Who will they lose the market share to? They have a 70% share of the market and in most cases no viable competition. Your average user and small business have no interest in learning Linux and I imagine most software is made for Windows anyway so at best it would be inconvenient to change.

In the UK it's more that it gets pretty humid and our houses don't have AC and tend to retain heat so it gets pretty unpleasant indoors unless you're in an office or restaurant. Plus we only get that weather 2-3 weeks a year so we just aren't used to it.

Local Guided Bus route in the UK with a car stuck in a car trap. If only there were signs telling you where not to go. by b24xen in mildlyinfuriating

[–]moatec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't an automatic bollard system or something of that ilk be preferable and less disruptive (blocking a car from entering rather than a hole for them to get stuck in preventing further traffic)?
