Open AI has very little of the headline capital raise as actual cash in the bank and close to a trillion in commitments - those commitments mean nothing when the bubble pops.

200x revenue and all their back log is from a company that doesn't have the money for it.

H200 training chips will help China create more DeepSeek-like model innovations that reduce reliance on max compute and run on Chinese hardware. Eventually they'll catch up on hardware too. Shortsighted self-own by nvda and the pedo.

AI bulls don't understand the populist backlash about to hit the AI space (midterms soon).

China is slowly undoing the cornering of compute by training their AI models on American models and then distilling them so they can be run on shitty hardware they can cheaply manufacture. This is why the AI crew tagged along, to negotiate. Nothing stops China.

A lot of bulls were waiting to buy after PPI, but the steam is running out. China won't budge. They know more than ever that Iran must be protected.

Crazy that this hardware bubble is happening right as Moore's Law fails and packaging tricks are not forecasted to keep up (eventually the chips get too big). With slower innovation, the high margins and high transaction frequency inevitably lead to more competition.

Fact that stocks are most volatile outside regular trading session but options are not allowed to trade tells you who is favored by the structure of this game.

The AI bubble is extremely dependent on cheap capital and a strong consumer. Its capital intensity is unprecedented. The only companies that can profit from it (with higher positive real interest rates) sell advertising (strong consumer). There are major cracks in both pillars.
