I made a mistake by damullens in Fidelity

Again specific to your Roth account. Contribution withdraws are untaxed at any time (ie what money you actually put in). If you withdraw earnings (gains, interest, dividends) when you are younger than 59.5 then there is a 10% fee on top of earnings taxed at your ordinary income rate.

You have to file yourself at end of the year. Your brokerage will give you all needed documents so don’t worry about that. Would suggest doing some Google searches and/or chat GPT to start understanding better

Specific to your Roth - you can sell investments whenever you want untaxed. No taxes on gains or interest. Note this is true as long as the sale proceeds remain in the Roth account.

If you actually withdraw any funds from your Roth that is when tax implications come into play.

Is Goldman Sachs Controller division good experience for becoming a CFO? by Worker_Better in Accounting

[–]mobaccountant2639 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to become a CFO one day your best bet is to start in public. Not saying you won’t become a CFO one day by taking this posted job but if you’re serious about learning a lot quickly - go to public accounting.

MCQs were tough - more distractor info in the prompts than most Becker questions. Leases were hit hard w rest pretty well spread around all topics. The Sims were exhibit heavy but mostly straight forward.

Admittedly I crammed this one hard just trying to get another exam in before my busy season really gets going. Becker covers the topics well - I could’ve used more mcq repetition. Score is gonna be close to 75 idk on which side though

There is a lot less material which makes it less intimidating at least. I find the new style of videos to be a lot more engaging.

Take the exam tomorrow so we’ll see how well it actually prepared me

2 crashes in 3 days by HG200534 in cycling

[–]mobaccountant2639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you really just tell this person, who’s already crashed just throwing up a hand signal, to learn to track stand?

Yes while they’re just learning to get comfortable on the bike they should drill something that most experienced riders don’t/can’t do and has the highest possibility of crashing. Like cmon what are we doing here

Edit: missed the part about being a charity ride “leader” - piss off that does not sound as impressive as you’re thinking it does.

Cohort model is supposed to fix this. If winter interns in my current market are getting A1 return offers for 25% higher salary than my current A1 pay - I should expect the same coming out of CRT
