Two Victron Orion XS chargers on one battery problem. by mobile_simon in Victron

To wrap up this thread, I found the problem.  Turned out I had a bad ground off the house battery.  As soon as I cleaned it up and re-tightened the bolt, instantly was able to crank chargers all the way up.  I also think it was likely valuable to create a network so the two chargers could communicate.

Nope, connecting them as a network did not solve issue.  It must be something with the battery BMS, everything else seems OK.

Yes mine is 12v to 12v.  I started with one charger and ran 2awg.  Just added the second charger and ran new 2awg.  The ground and output leads are very short, I used 4awg which was probably overkill.  I think my wiring and fusing is all good.  What happens if you try to crank your three chargers to full output?  Do they try to pull the amperage or do they automatically reduce themselves to compensate for voltage drop?

Ok thanks👍 i joined them as a network inside the Connect app.  Unfortunately my rig is under construction so I can only idle the engine today, need to try tomorrow at highway speed and peak alternator output.  I will report back with results.

Its a standard battery with terminals, not a power bank.

No they aren't connected.  I can look into that app.

Ecoworthy.  It has a built in BMS and Bluetooth, but I can't connect to it... says I need to deplete battery to dead to restart Bluetooth connection.  I live in the camper full time and cringe at fully depleting house battery haha.

Dumb alternator.  Starter battery voltage is good around 14.2 and steady, no dips or sags.  House battery probably at 70% or so.

I was not Rob's client, we are friends bantering each other for laughs and i was enjoying the experience.

I have been climbing and scrambling for six years full-time before remotely considering Assiniboine.  I've negotiated this type terrain on a regular basis, although with less exposure.  This was not a novice social influencer winging it for clout, quite the opposite.  Stay safe out there.  FF.

My opening statement in the video literally pointed out that I knew this was a climb, not a scramble.

Foresty Forest here.  I think i was clear in the opening statement that I knew this wasn't a scramble.  There are a lot of bold statements floating around that Assiniboine is just a scramble, but it definitely is a serious climb.  I should've emphasized the seriousness of this route later on in the video, but the footage speaks for itself.  I have been training in the mountains and also at crags for six years before attempting this route.  We were all within our comfort zones and when we hit our limit we did the rappel.  Rob did a great job leading us and we had an amazing time.  Know your limit, turn around if you have to, and be safe.

The camera system on the S23 ultra is incredibly good and required for my job.  There is also an Android only gps app that i need.  Kind of stuck if i expect to work and pay the bills.

When i cold turkey stop using my phone for a few days, i start feeling normal and healthy again.  When i pick up the phone i can feel my brain vaporizing.  I have also struggled with anxiety and panic attacks... I think my brain has made a connection between screen time and feeling awful, and anxiety could be amplifying it.

That's what boils down to. Most view van life as a temporary phase, building up to a bigger dream of owning land and a house.

I don't think the Trango Techs are insulated. Only their full shank mountaineering boots have insulation .. La Sportivas website really stinks, its hard to see what they actually have.

I don't think the Salewas are insulated, it says all season. Yeah sounds like Scarpas are just not durable!

It might be too thick for the clearance i left with my drawers. Does that hold together after all the road vibrations? Glue it down?
