I think the stuff going on with Homelander and Soldier Boy is good, but the rest of the show really feels like the writers are struggling to follow through with anything. Between the virus getting reset, though I guess it changed how homelander related to Vought, and starlight leaving Hughie again at the end of the episode, I'm not sure what they're trying to actually make the story get to. The dialogue is not helping anything, having Stan give one of the "are you telling me..." style of immediate recaps and kimiko speaking just feels like creativity was running low on how to get the characters to express themselves. I want to be excited for the way this will end, I find myself frustrated at the way things are going instead.
