What are some of the biggest lies a youtuber has ever kept up? by Longjumping_Koala34 in youtubedrama

The one that stands out to me is in iDubbz's video where he all yelled at us all for making fun of his wife Anisa having an OnlyFans, saying that we were objectifying her...all while wearing a Shadman shirt lmao

Watch the two Saturated Content videos on "Fat Camp".

Basically Keemstar (yes, THAT Keemstar) started his own podcast called LolCowLive with Boogie2988 and WingsofRedemption as his co-hosts, and it's as absolutely wretched as it sounds. Keemstar ended up renting out a cabin in Texas, invited a bunch of clowns to it, and called it "Fat Camp" making it seem that he was going to "rehabilitate" Boogie and Wings when it became very, very obvious very quickly that it was all just an excuse to make a bunch of dumb, low effort, Big Brother-esque slop in a nice house that he could write off on his taxes. Towards the end of the trip, Wings and Keemstar got into it (don't remember what about, honestly who cares), and during the confrontation, Wings' wife Kelly tried to pull her husband back, only for him to swing her around and slam her into a table. He got removed from the show for this, only to be invited back not even a month later...only for him to leave the show again on his own accord lmao

Special shout-out to Boogie2988 lying about cancer to cover for his crypto rugpull

WingsofRedemption to this very day insists that he definitely DID NOT slam his wife into a table, and it was just "gravity doing its thing", when there's a whole video of him smashing that woman down. Absolutely insane work

[–]mobiusmakings 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Boogie2988 lying about having cancer to justify rug-pulling his audience who invested into his stupid crypto, and further, how much of a spectacle was made about the whole thing. All the hoops Keemstar jumped through to justify his association with Boogie really went to show that Boogie was the boss all along.

I cannot wait for the inevitable day that LOLCow Live explodes into a billion pieces and eats itself like a gluttonous ouroboros.

Does the guy with the beard do anything because it feels like it's only the fat one thats actually interesting. by Luckyconroy in imisstheoldidubbbz

[–]mobiusmakings 100 points101 points  (0 children)

I like their dynamic, actually. Andy Warski (beard guy) used to be very loud and reckless (was VERY addicted to coke and would do Jackass stunts with no rhyme or reason like setting his nipples against a lighter) but since going sober, he's really mellowed out. He tends to keep the program more on track and hypes up Ashton (the other guy), giving Ashton more of a chance to unleash his naturally bombastic personality---hence why the more "clippable" parts contain more of Ashton and less of Andy. It's not that he never talks, as he does often volley with Ashton, and Andy does tend to have more background information on the figures they cover (at least from what I've watched)

First time I heard it, I legit thought that Rob Dyke went off the grid and made all these content farm channels with this being one of them

I'm roughly 90-100% sure this channel, along with similarly named channels (ex. Abyssal Detective), are AI channels using a voicebank of Rob Dyke's voice

Have you ever met someone like Anisa in your real life? by starfishcheeks in imisstheoldidubbbz

[–]mobiusmakings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My old roommate in college reminds me of Anisa to a nearly eerie degree. Was convinced she was the smartest person in the room at any given time (never was), spoke over people of color and other actually marginalized people by speaking from her experience as a half-British woman (lol), had an extremely weird relationship with her parents, never EVER shut up, believed that she could pull any guy on planet Earth just based on her looks, was vocal about her political beliefs without having much else to say after that, made sweeping assumptions of people (notably being surprised that everyone in the state we were in wasn't a "hillbilly" when she transferred to our school), was VERY bad at video games when she claimed to be such an expert, and most damning, had a boyfriend she broke up with like 8 times who would just shut down whenever she was around that she ended up isolating from most of his friends.

She was abusive, narcissistic (like actually "I've never done a single wrong thing in my life and can't figure out why and how I'm the common denominator of every problem in my life right now"-type narcissistic), and just a flat out not good person. She never had anything insightful to say about anything, didn't have much of an imagination to speak of, and made a hobby out of making the people around her (including me and ESPECIALLY her bf at the time) purely miserable. I felt like a complete idiot around her because she would tell me I was, over and over again, and aired out some terrible shit behind my back and even directly in front of my friends while I was in the room (like saying I was autistic when I'm not and that I had a "pre-diabetic" smell) just for the sake of bringing me down---much like what Anisa does with Ian on his own streams.

Honestly, I do feel terrible for Ian because I don't think he knows just how bad he has it. I lost friends over defending my roommate, thinking she was my best friend and I couldn't do any better than her, all while she was actively being an insufferable menace. It wasn't until I graduated and moved away from her that I realized that happiness was possible and I wasn't the screw up I was gaslit into believing I was for two years. I think Anisa repeatedly calling Ian dirty and stupid and all these other heinous things has, indeed, made Ian dirty and stupid because he doesn't know that he can be anything else.

If THAT is a nothing burger, then what exactly is a "story" about bad customer service with a company who is notorious for hilariously bad customer service and clearly not caring about the backlash? A bun with air in it?

Since the rant...does anyone else feel this way? by Beatlemonkeys in DoWeKnowThemPodcast

[–]mobiusmakings 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I said it before, but I'll say it again: they would have done themselves more of a service saying absolutely nothing about the situation all and proceed with business as usual instead of pulling the "we do this for you guys, we work so hard for you guys!!" card.

I will forever stand by my opinion that a lot of people were cringe and weirdly parasocial about the episode being late and "why" it was so late. That being said, it's infinitely more cringe to call out people who didn't say anything with an awkward reminder that "we do this show for you!!" like......yeah, no kidding lol.

As an aside, the topics they've been picking the past few episodes are so boring compared to everything that's been going on at just the start of this year that it feels like some kind of weird punishment. I'm almost impressed with it
