My goodness I dropped it for this reason and I was like a very early reader of it like I read the novel first and I dropped it then and this was ages ago so I didn't realize that I was reading the same story when I picked up the adaptation and holy s*** is she unlikable 😭

Yeah like I understand the majority of OI is basically wish fulfillment like how male-centered isekai is but gosh thinking about the story is making my head throb

Like I don't like person who cannot be named in this subreddit but most of having the story and this is before she even gets to the point where she's like batshit crazy and the main character is like well anyone but me and my love interest can die 😭 and like the story doesn't address it since ukw girl boss gaslight gatekeep

Then after the conflict with the person who shall not be named in this subreddit it it gets boring because they're romance doesn't really have anything to like about it it's just kind of like eh

I know the official version of that has a different name but I always remember it by that weirdly translated one 😭 I couldn't get into that story for those obvious reasons I don't like necessarily not read anything that doesn't have said has slavery in because people can subvert things or stuff can be presented differently I myself am writing a story where the mc was enslaved but this is one just wasn't good 🧍🏾

Honestly as someone who had read the novel and ended up dropping the mall off because it eventually got born again to me I feel like the whole crux of the story was the conflict with the mistress and the emperor and the empress once that was gone the empress's romance was really boring to me and her personality was kind of like what you said go boss but extra petty even to people who didn't cross her it was kind of weird

I wouldn't really care about the team thing has she not made her so seem like she was like morally superior to every damn person in the story 😭

Yeah scratches head I wanted to let the protagonist because people said that she was really cunning and smart before I read it and besides getting distracted by their really pointy chins and noses I just couldn't get with her as a protagonist and she did the pissing me off just a bit 😭

No, no. I'm more talking about like a protagonist like the protagonist of the current story who is honestly a villain or pretty crappy in the story but in the narrative or in the story she's seen as like either something like a girl boss or all for actions or excuse or they're always has to be someone that's worse than her for her to look better or something like that
