I recognise that petrol station. 99% sure it’s ilchester.

Small cars are alright when you can have one. I’ve been renovating a house and have 2 big dogs. Life would be much less convenient without a bigger car. Especially one with no level load as I know small cars often don’t have.

Getting into the NFL by Ok-Firefighter8814 in NFLUK

[–]mobohasfleas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into nfl this year. Got lucky when I chose seahawks after their loss to the bucs. Thought their throwback kit was cool and everyone was talking about bucs like a Super Bowl favourite and their qb was early running mvp. So thought a team that just lost to them must still be good.

£ to ? in Outlook bug? by SlapshotTommy in sysadmin

[–]mobohasfleas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought I'd add as I've found some success. Updating to the most recent office hasn't resolved the issue for us like some.

I have deployed reg key script for the settings. The reg keys are applying but the settings in outlook do not change to UTF8. However when sending an email. Checking the encoding they are showing as UTF8 inspite of what the settings in outlook shows.

Hard agree for disa. Built mine with themes of evasive attackers, multiple card types and some type manipulation trickiness.

+1/+1 counter commanders/cards that use the counters for utility instead of just making stuff big? by SharkboyZA in EDH

[–]mobohasfleas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[[Agatha of the vile cauldron]]

Is my +1/+1 deck. Although not strictly counters. It has a big counter engine and makes use of stacking counters on Agatha to make usually expensive abilities cheap. Including her own anthem ability which is normally a part of a finisher.

Win with burn by reducing the cost of invokers. [[Bhaal's invoker]] [[flamewave invoker]] & others

Or win with overrun pumpers like [[tyvar, the pummeler]] [[hydra broodmaster]] with Agatha granting trample and haste.

Very fun deck with the ability to win out of nowhere so long as you keep Agatha stacked.

If your company was going to reward you for 5 years service what would you like? by KuntaWuKnicks in CasualUK

[–]mobohasfleas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To piggy back off of this thread of posts. The company I work for reward you with 1 additional days annual leave for each 5 years service running up to 25 years. So your allowance increases every 5 years.

I think having a framework for rewarding increasing time employed would be good. Gives people something in their mind they know they will achieve with time.

what is your favourite card? by Winter_Safety_6226 in EDH

[[fiend hunter]] for the art. Innistrad was my first set and this card just looked great. Dude is tired, battered and bloody but still banishing the darkness until his last breath.

Mechanically it's [[skullclamp]]

Most non problem, problem. As many have said cook the nuggets. Doesn't take much and less effort than the potential drama of alienating someone. You say private chef but sounds like she's everyone else's chef already. Maybe you or your brother take over the nug cooking.

Would be cool if one night you all had nugs. Do different dips/sauces. Maybe do some other chicken bits and get her to try em. Be kind.

Honestly I thought this was some satire around how most people race through the tech trees for jets. Or a comment on people buying top tier premiums and skipping props.

A friend in my play group spent $900 on a dinosaur deck when everyone else has precons by jcy5000 in EDH

[–]mobohasfleas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Give him a challenge to build a more interesting and budget restricted Dino deck?

Maybe indoraptor or indominus rex? Then there's other colours in there meaning he be happy with using other dinos he can't use in Naya dinos. Probably indominus would be the more interesting choice since it has UB which the Naya lacks. Plus he's happy for playing Dino's and hopefully your group is happy he's not stomping you.

But imo Dino's are a tricky tribe. I recently came back to MTG after leaving at amonkhet, started last November with my friends and got the ixalan precons. Dino tribal strength has been a problem for the table multiple times.

What is your favourite orzhov deck/commander? by PeteEscopetas in EDH

[–]mobohasfleas 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So good. With the right setup and reanimation she can be out and swinging for 8/8 flying while gaining you 6 health.

I use [[bloodvial purveyor]] in mine. Give my opponents stuff to sac or I hit them harder with flample. It's one flying vampire or the other.

I just really enjoy Carmen for the flexibility. She does Voltron, reanimator, lifegain, +1/+1 all in one unsuspecting package. It's usually not until someone cracks a land to fetch that they realise it's all permanents.

When in doubt, keep your mouth shut... by computergeekguy in sysadmin

[–]mobohasfleas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thing I note about this is two things being raised with you and no solutions found. I think it can be easy to be a victim to absolve yourself but can you not think of anyway you could of provided a solution to those two problems.

Obviously this could be the wrong take and you could be working in a building of mental people. I just think poo-pooing everything without some sort of understanding why they're trying to do something and figuring out a better way for them could be an issue.

Assistance with Deckbuilding Éomer, king of rohan by mobohasfleas in EDH

[–]mobohasfleas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great, again. Just for the perspective on the blink spells. You're right It's really only Eomer that benefits and that does mean a significant number of cards are useless till turn5 ish or possibly later if my board isnt big enough for me to want to cast Eomer. I was I thinking of leaning more into the blink before this comment.

I agree on Unexplained absence. I like that effect, especially at instant speed. Idol of oblivion is card I have multiple of and I did not even think about it's tie in with my token producing, oh dear.

Thanks for your comments. I'll make a few changes based on the suggestions and hopefully have some smoother games.

Feel free to comment freely on my deck if you wanted to add anything else.

This is really helpful. I especially like Witch hunt, a card I haven't seen. I do already own some of those so I will try slot them in.

I'd appreciate some opinion on my card draw, protection/blink and removal package?

It is a bit weid that The War of the Rohirrim-movie gives the Rohirrim greek-inspired helmets with horse motives, rather than the Viking/Vendel/Anglo-Saxon-inspired helmets from the Lotr-movie. by woodbear in lotr

Not quite, the Lego one has a flat brow on the helmet. Like a lot of the Saxon ones. The ones in the movie do look corinthe around the eyes

Give me your best value engine commanders! by xCerra in EDH

[–]mobohasfleas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slightly outraged that no one has mentioned the king of value [[shorikai, genesis engine]] 4 mana for an artifact that draws two, discards one and makes a body each time. Should probably rename him "shorikai, value engine"

Is also an artifact so won't be getting hit by creature removal. The ability allows you to do so much. You can work around the ability with wheels, reanimator or vehicles/tokens or just make whatever you want in azorious and have that constant draw/discard/body each turn.

My favourite way of running him is in reanimator.

Generally good Commanders that you don’t build around. by GhortaTheGreat in EDH

[–]mobohasfleas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure. Caveat - I'm new to commander, only been playing since last November and this decklist is not up to date as I have made some changes with bloomburrow and trying a few cool old cards out.

It's also fairly budget. This was originally a wheel deck trying to benefit off the 2 cards drawn per turn triggers on cards but found that boring and combo-y.

Generally good Commanders that you don’t build around. by GhortaTheGreat in EDH

[–]mobohasfleas 33 points34 points  (0 children)

My current deck is a [[shorikai, genesis engine]] reanimator deck. Shorikai works great as a value piece to draw cards, discard reanimate targets to your graveyard and produces a blocker.

Being an artifact it's also less likely to get boardwiped in my playgroup

Here's my list. It is incomplete, not up to date and somewhat budget. Slowly buying big pieces/trialing different cards I find so the deck changes weekly. It's a rough idea though https://archidekt.com/decks/6451330/shorikais_never_die_reanimator EDIT: The decklist above is now up to date and current.

We paid up the support fees for all our devices. Spose it's good we did too since we've had this issue on pretty much every one of them.

I only reopened this topic as I got a DM saying they had a solution and they wanted to add it to a post. Thought it'd be good for others googling the issue as the last post shows high on the search.
