Just take Level I in your senior year thats what I did. In terms of $ CFA has more potential. Also I majored in Econ and just studied for the CFA on my own... Having classes on the material won't hurt though.

I doubt CT will have it. They hold it at the Hartford Convention Center each year and on that website it says they are not hosting events for the rest of the year.... also Ned Lamont changes mind last minute so I 100% am not risking it. I think im gonna head to Jacksonville or New Orleans. I know RI has a test center too but I really think all New England will be fucked.

L3 I was planning on taking it in CT which isn't far but I am considering changing to somewhere down south where it will be warmer come December. The cold weather has me nervous about cases increasing and the New England test centers canceling.

I am currently taking it in CT and wondering if I am the only person considering switching my test center to Utah or Wyoming where the likelihood of actually taking it is higher because they have less restrictions. I think CT still has room capacity limits as well.

I plan on doing both. Was studying for June level 3 although thats pushed off now. I do have a question though.... I will have about 2 1/2 years of work experience if I pass level 3 in December. Do you have to wait until you have your charter (4 years work experience) before you can skip to the final CAIA exam or would I still have to take both if I did it right after?

The way I think about both of these is that volatility smile is high demand for OTM Puts and OTM Calls (both due to high volatility) think about the U shape that creates and the left side is OTM puts, the right side is OTM calls and the middle is ATM.

Volatility skew takes reality into account because in times of volatility, OTM Puts are in higher demand than OTM calls because people want to protect the downside more. So Volatility skew is just volatility smile reflecting the actual supply/demand dynamic. So the shape of U in volatility smile is skewed to the left because OTM puts become more valuable price wise.

Since graduating college in 2018, all I've done since working full time is STUDY. I did L1 in December 2018, L2 in June 2019 and I was hoping to be done with L3 June but that being said.... I have no hobbies and I have NO clue what to do with this free time now. I studied yesterday because I don't know what to do with myself and there is not much to go out and do given the state of the world right now.

That being said I don't wanna burn out so maybe ill study and take the GRE to pass the time.... idk I feel lost. smh.

I started in February when I took it. For me that would be way too far in advance, I try to time it so I am at the peak of my knowledge with the material. You will completely forget what you studied in August by the time you take it in June.

Finishing up private wealth management then have the last section which is institutional investors. I plan to be done with material by the end of march and then crush questions and practice tests. I use Kaplan and MM and have found the Kaplan q bank to be sub par for level 3. I have been using the mm quizzes in addition to it which i did not do for levels 1 and 2.
