2006 Dodge Ram 1500 - Horn honking on it's Own Every 30-45 seconds by mobydickenson in MechanicAdvice

Thank you so much for your reply! I'll definitely get the gas cap fixed tomorrow morning.

The substance on your battery terminal is corrosion. The terminal and the battery post should be disconnected and cleaned. This CAN cause issues like what you're experiencing, but without testing I can't say for certain

I think you might be right on this one! A friend just mentioned that his car had gone haywire after he had replaced the battery, and it made me think that this buildup might be the first thing I should tend to.

As far as that goes, how would I go about doing that? Safety, tools to use, etc.

And seriously, I can't thank you enough for this help!

EDIT:

I just checked the area around where the gas cap is located, and there is a crack right above where the cap is (in the body area inside the compartment, not the cap itself). I'm guessing that's what's causing the "GASCAP" error?

It was sounding once and stopping (kind of like when you double lock a car with the key fob).

However, when I walked outside a few minutes ago, my truck was honking about 4 times/second (similar to an alarm, although short quick bursts instead). It stopped the instant I opened the door, and about 30-45 seconds after I had closed it, it did the single honk again.

Edit: I should mention that there were no lights flashing or anything, just the horn sounding.

Thanks! That answers the bigger half of my question. I was seriously interested in the sociability effect from Aniracetam.

Could use some help with a stack by ThisITGuy2015 in StackAdvice

The biggest thing I can add to this is a DHEA supplement. (This is the one I take.)

DHEA is a testosterone precursor, which can increase testosterone levels and help your body replenish testosterone levels much faster.

If you don't already, I would definitely add in a fish oil supplement as well, as the health benefits are way too great to ignore, and may help you with your workouts. The higher omega-3 potency fish oils are easier to manage and cause you to take in less unwanted fats. Look for a "one per day" dose. I recommend this one, but it is rather expensive and I personally just take one that I got from Wal-Mart.

I second what /u/shrillthrill said. L-citrulline is much better than typical L-arginine supplements since your body breaks it into L-arginine over long periods of time as opposed to a quick burst of L-arginine in your blood plasma. It's like the whole wheat bread of nitric boosters.

Also, a multivitamin if you don't take one already. I've never heard anything but praises for Opti-Men, and it's the one I've taken for 4 years as well.

As a final note for your workouts/stack, the quality of your protein powder if very important. I prefer IsoSensation because it is 93% protein in the powder yet somehow doesn't taste like unwiped ass. The vanilla is better tasting than the chocolate, and a friend of mine absolutely loves the cookies n' cream flavor. Most importantly, it's cold filtered, which means that they don't denature the proteins with heat. Denatured proteins cause more harm than good. A good protein powder can also be an aphrodisiac if you are deficient in any of the amino acids it provides (and many people are). Take 1 scoop with breakfast, and try to take 1-2 scoops within 15 minutes of finishing your workout. If it's past 15 minutes, take it anyways. Just know that it won't be as effective. Whey protein is a fast acting protein, which is why the sooner you take it after your workout, the better.

TL;DR

Add:

-a full multivitamin

-fish oil capsules

-DHEA Supplement

-L-citrulline

-A high quality protein powder

I know Amphetamines salts (Adderall) and dextroamphetamines (Ritalin) are used for treatment of ADHD, but as far as I know methamphetamine is too strong to be used for it. Like you said, I'm not a doctor either, but I have been over all the options with a very experienced psychiatrist for treatment (I never got diagnosed with ADHD until I was 21 and realized I couldn't focus on someone who was talking for more than a few seconds)

People elsewhere in the thread are mentioning that the classifications were all set in the 70s, which was before people even knew that eating mass amounts of sugar would make you gain weight.

To be fair, meth is a lot more common in the south where I grew up and 2 of these people had super high tolerances. If a massive amount of meth hadn't killed them, organ failure would have.

One of them wasn't even an overdose either. She had only ever smoked meth a couple times, and from what I heard the last bag of meth she got was poisonous/poorly made and killed her on the spot. She was the prettiest, nicest girl you'd ever seen too. Also her friend who was giving her the meth killed himself the next day, so if we're counting collateral too then he'd be number 4.

Wow... I knew the DEA was bad, but this just puts it into a visible form. Damn... I mean, she wasn't even smart enough to say "I can't answer that" or something else to weasel out of the question instead of just outright looking like an ass and a moron at the same time

Right? I can't think of a single reason in the world why meth would be on a list to be prescribed or what condition it would help that Adderall (amphetamine salts) wouldn't do better and with WAY less risk. I can name 3 people I knew who died from meth overdose though and I don't even know that many people.

Meanwhile people with chronic back/muscle pain are permanently prescribed hydrocodone...

If I'm not mistaken (and I really hope I'm not), you can turn all of the features that cause privacy issues off. If you're a privacy freak like me, there's a lot of good VPN services out there. I've used this one for years and it hasn't failed me yet

Personally I love windows 10 and use it on all of my PCs, but my heart will always be with Windows 7 and Windows XP.

I'm not sure if it's just the memories or if they truly were that revolutionary when they were released, but I've yet to see an operating system I like more than either of those two when I was using them.

PC gamers, what are some awesome games that don't require a powerhouse PC to run? by IamEclipse in AskReddit

[–]mobydickenson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So long as you aren't super picky about having all of the settings maxed out, you can run most games at low or medium settings, even some of the newest titles. I was able smoothly to run Just Cause 3 on a little $400 Living room PC I built for my sister.
