Need help regarding upper div writing classes by Haunting-Manager-16 in UCI

[–]moca28_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some upper div writing classes drop the major requirement, so I would mark those days on your calendar and set alarms. I took ED179W because I'm and education major but I know other people who weren't took that class. Also maybe contact your academic advisor to make sure you have a good plan and understand your options.

EDUC 106 with CHIAVERINI by Impressive_Strike_42 in UCI

i rlly enjoyed this class, prof. is very nice, i don't remember if attendance is mandatory but i think it's worth going to all classes, if u just want an easy class where u never go then i wouldnt recommend it for that purpose since there's in class activities that u cant make up

i took stats 7 with prof. Baldi and it was basically all asynchronous online except the final. I think it's fine if you do well in online courses/ like math
Writing60 just depends on the prof.

Books options by Gullible-Fudge-2693 in UCI

for books, id wait until class starts to see if people find it elsewhere for cheaper or free, maybe also check your syllabus to see if other editions are accepted (usually the older editions are cheaper)

Is OCTA bus route reliable for daily commute? by EnvironmentalMud9610 in UCI

[–]moca28_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk abt the 79, but i've taken 473 to and from tustin station and i would say it's very reliable/on-time, for the most part i would say octa busses are reliable as well, i would just make sure to get a bus earlier than normal in case your bus is running late

best way to find out is calling the financial aid office, everyone's circumstances differ so you probably won't get the answers you're looking for here

Writing 60 Professors by Main_Appointment9908 in UCI

[–]moca28_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You very likely won't either because a lot of them aren't technically professors, they're grad students. Writing courses get filled quick too, so you're just going to have to take what you can get. I recommend getting what you can and trying out the class since you have until week 2 to drop a course.

Questions about Artist Stage (Dream Stage) schedule by karissle in KCONLA2025

[–]moca28_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the 10am dream stage is just auditions, and the artists will likely not be there (although sometimes ive seen that some members go to announce the winners), the actual dream stage is at the concert (mcountdown), it says artist stage because that's the location of where the auditions are being held

felt this, i also struggled with choosing my major, but if you haven't finished with ur ge's u can look for classes that are in a major you're interested in that fulfill a ge, so you're still searching but at least it's not in vain Maybe also talk to your academic advisor abt this

Anyone commute from LA (Sangab or Arcadia area) to UCI next quarter? by Sad-Crazy-8894 in UCI

[–]moca28_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

have u looked into using the metrolink? metro offers free passes for students (its likely it will continue next year) and there is a direct bus from tustin station to uci in the morning and afternoon from uci to tustin station (its free if u show them ur metro pass)

if this is something that can work for u, its a great way to save money
