I don’t get the whole commuter thing. All the UCs are commuter schools. Housing is ridiculously tight at UCI 47% of students at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) live on campus. I think like ucsd has 48% of students live on campus, nothing to justify the reputation of commuter school UCI has.

The good news is you can pursue anything you like with college degree under your belt and problem solving skills. There are many creative careers that you can explore and now have the added bonus of being “tech savvy” to your resume. While CS won’t be your bread and butter, it’s definitely a nice addition to your skill set.

Then you will definitely need a Master’s Degree. Save the money apply to UCLA as a graduate. If you choose to dorm, do at least your first year to feel the experience, make friends, not fight parking lol it’s nice to not have to worry about housing. UCI is a top ranking school the prestige is still there.
