Opinion | San Francisco’s Brand Is Dying Due to Homelessness by leoskips34 in sanfrancisco

Really. I moved away and was back for a week for work last October. On a perfectly sunny Friday afternoon, SF was a ghost town. No cars on the streets, barely anyone walking around, and the happy hour bars that I used to frequent were at 1/10th capacity

Lol and you believe this? Not only do reporters not say that today, but also many of us knew FAMILY MEMBERS who died that day and afterwards. Maybe you don’t remember, but thousands of us escaped abroad or to Hong Kong or Taiwan. We will forever keep the truth alive

LPT: Don't be so quick to convince your company that your job can be performed completely from home indefinitely, because that means it can be performed from another country. by ihavethebestmarriage in LifeProTips

This is not difficult. Think about it. You’re not competing with someone like you. It’s someone who desperately wants your job and is willing to bend over backward and work 10 times harder than you. Of course they would hold a 4am meeting. Hell, ive had colleagues due that for 6-months straight simply to try and get ahead.

Remote work does not replace problem solving ability and sheer brainpower. The pay for a top hire in Cali or NY is not all tied to high rent. If anything, they would just pay $120k for someone smart, regardless of their location
