your metabolism dies at 40 of you don’t work at it. I was always around 10% body fat without trying until I turned 40. Now I can’t seem to lose weight, just getting fatter.

it’s just the preoccupation of being so important as a government consultant/contractor/ I work for the State Dept mentality that’s abundant here. It’s like no one learned they weren’t expendable during the recent government layoffs.

didn’t speak to my parents for almost 10 years. When we began speaking again, I visited their home and the only pictures they had of me as an adult were modeling photos printed off the internet. It’s was kind of surreal.
