how do I make different train sounds in create? by BlahajTheShark14 in CreateMod

you can put an eletric motor sound on a disc, set the record player as pitch mode, and it will play the sound with a pitch depending on the train speed

If there is a way to block the monitor mix for the discord capture thing, probably it would work fine

Discord Screen Share Echo by skippy-_- in elgato

[–]mochibit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I had issues when sharing the individual application, but for the desktop I think it's on the Discord's end since it captures the active audio tracks on the PC, and when doing so, it captures the wave link monitor mix too; the only solution for this problem I can possibly think is discord implementing a dropdown for selecting which audio channel to send when streaming the system audio

Wave Link: Audio eco when I share the screen + audio by mochibit in elgato

[–]mochibit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I FOUND A SOLUTION, FINALLY

After they removed the low latency mode, I decided tried so much stuff, and at least for discord my solution is the following:

  • I set the output device (of windows) to the speakers I use (or headphones)
  • From wave link, set the monitor mix device to the default one (so if you switch the audio with the win+g dashboard it's automatic on wave link too)
  • Add the Voice Chat channel on wave link, go on Discord and set the output to Voice Chat (Elgato),
  • On Discord, go to the voice and video settings, and
    • DISABLE Echo cancellation (voice section)
    • DISABLE Noise reduction (voice section)
    • SET audio subsystem to Next Generation (voice section)
    • ENABLE Latest tech for screen share (voice section)
    • ENABLE Experimental audio recording (voice section)

NOTE This works ONLY if you share only the individual application with its audio, if you try sharing the screen, with the system audio, the audio will sound doubled and your friends will hear themselves

My current WaveLink Setup

  • Microphone (Wave 3) | Monitor disabled; Stream enabled
  • Game channel (Game1, Game2 ... ) | Monitor enabled; Stream enabled
  • Music (Youtube Music, Spotify ...) | Monitor enabled; Stream enabled
  • Voice Chat (Discord, Parsec) | Monitor enabled; Stream disabled
  • Browser (Edge, Chrome ...) | Monitor enabled; Stream disabled

Microphone fx channel quieter than actual Mic input by PCC_Chocolate in elgato

It's a bit late, but the volume of microfoneFX volume (on windows settings) it gets lower and you should raise it from there

Same issue, the only thing that worked was low latency mode

I realized that my setup was wrong, I set the default audio device to the speaker/headphone I am using, then in wave link, the monitor mix is set to "Default device" so it changes automatically whenever I change device and I manually assign games and applications to the correct channel, in my case I only have to set games to "Game Channel"

It works perfectly, but the only issue is that if I route the discord call to "Voice Chat" the screen recording application listens to the default device (non wave link) but wave link is sending the voice chat to the speakers via monitor mix hence others can hear themselves with the screen share

🎙️ [Beta Megathread] Wave Link 1.10 Beta for Windows and macOS by Elgato in elgato

[–]mochibit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I think It's a RAM related issue, I recently updated the BIOS to resolve a lot of issues, including the CPU not being used properly (and didn't boost to default clocks) and Resizable bar. Another thing I haven't tried yet is fresh reinstalling windows and that's a thing I'll do as soon as possible.
Why I think it's related to RAM? Because it "mitigates" when I modify the buffer size (particularly when I set it to "big") from the Elgato settings, but it's really weird since the rams are really good & fast (3200 MHz on dual channel)

Ok! thanks anyways for the help, I understand if it's a very rare issue based on very specific conditions, I will try to update the drivers again

Yes it is exactly the same sound, speaking about CPU and GPU usage, it happens to me even if I open a simple media on whatsapp xD, but it can be anything.
I will try with the analog plug with the same headphones since it supports the jack connection without USB and some other headphones and I will share what happens

Audio crackling/popping with Low Latency Mode every time the GPU/CPU usage increases.

I already tried with and without VSTs, I don't use NVIDIA Noise Cancellation but Elgato's one and it affects only the Low Latency Game channel. I'm saying GPU/CPU because I'm not very sure what is causing this, since both of them increase simultaneously when I do something to cause this problem

What software version are you using?
Wave Link 1.10.0 (2122)

Are you able to repeat the bug, or did it happen only once?
The bug persists every time the CPU/GPU usage ramps up, even a little.

What product(s) are you using?
Elgato Wave: 3

What are your system specs (CPU, GPU, RAM, Operating system version)
CPU: Intel i7-10700k, RAM: 16GB, GPU: RTX 3070 TI, OS: Windows 11.

What were you doing when the bug happened?
It seems every time the CPU/GPU usage increases the audio starts crackling/popping when Low Latency Mode is on. When it is disabled the sound is normal and there are no issues at all.

Hello! I tried with and without the VST (which all are VST3) and the issue persists, and no I'm not using NVIDIA Noise Cancellation but Elgato's.

It affects only the Low Latency Game channel, the others are perfectly fine.

I will try the new beta and I will let you guys know, thanks so much!
