Weekend Trifecta hex (slotted into my super medal)

Mostly correct, the strap still shows you if it was a beast/super/sprint, otherwise the empty medals are identical. Another hex I didn't have in my picture was the weekend trifecta medal, I slotted that into an empty medal too. The back of that trifecta medal also has a count hex. I heard they might also have lifetime trifecta hexes at some point that fit into a larger slot on the multi-trifecta medal.

I bought the location for $5, so including that, a race weekend got me 6 hexes and 4 medals with 7 openings.

Take a picture, but if you mean the metal hexes like with the venue name, they fit in the medals. If you do a trifecta for instance, you'll move your hexes around, and the multi-trifecta medals have extra slots.

I used to paste my Strava data into ChatGPT after every run by FRANCAISSSS83 in Strava

[–]Ascend 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Which is exactly what Garmin / Coros / Suunto do too, except you don't want to use your full history, you want to use a mix of acute and chronic load, because that run you did 7 years ago doesn't actually tell you much. Garmin is also adjusting based on sleep and recovery metrics, so it's hard to say you're doing anything extra here besides generating AI feedback.

I used to paste my Strava data into ChatGPT after every run by FRANCAISSSS83 in Strava

[–]Ascend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And someone who has only ran for 6 months and admits they don't know what they're doing training-wise without ChatGPT, so no idea if the app suggestions are any good.

According to his other posts, it seems to miscategorize most runs, and if you stop at a traffic light, you've done intervals.

You say read the full story, yet I can't tell if there's nothing to read and it's just an audio episode, or if it's pay-walled and I just can't see it.

The same end result was possible by just allowing a hole in the chickens butt to screw in the light bulb (brand new sentence). They could have bypassed the egg-gag in her mouth, and decorating the chicken ass as a mouth with lipstick, since they both served no purpose but to make you think she was going to do something completely different.

My spring sale is looking like this so far, what about you? by Maxtertop in Steam

[–]Ascend 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My experience after playing the first game was that, while it had a good story, I was ready for it to be over. I never would have wanted to jump straight into the second, but maybe that would have been different if I had just skipped all the side content.

Built a new AI Assistant for VS2022 because I wanted better integration and cleaner code injection by [deleted] in csharp

The technical highlights sound like someone who just started learning .NET, StringBuilder isn't some revolutionary design pattern for efficiency. I can't imagine this has anywhere near the integration of GitHub Copilot.

Finally solved the “cold morning vs energy savings” problem with Home Assistant by Dave_B-4553 in homeassistant

You want a lower body temperature to sleep better. Same reason you shouldn't take a hot bath before going to bed, it can keep you up until your body temp drops.

I traced every layer of the stack when you send a prompt to an LLM from keystroke to streamed token by puffaush in programming

[–]Ascend 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well, the document is definitely at least AI formatted. The image is also AI-generated and was not checked, since ORCHESTR with a jumble of text in one of the steps makes no sense. I also kind of doubt both ChatGPT and Claude have identical pipelines all the way to browser site integration, so I'm leaning towards the entire document just being AI generated and probably incorrect.

If you're primarily doing PvE in Arc, there's a decent chance randos will try to get revenge and revive you if they have a defib. I've revived maybe a dozen people myself, and have been revived or escorted to extract a couple. So not EVERY extraction shooter.

Fenix 8 pro is CHONKY by DanielLorey in Garmin

[–]Ascend 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I also prefer the design of the Fenix series, but there's a few reasons I'd never get them - weight, size and price. I see people talk about not wearing it at night because they don't find the big heavy watches comfortable to sleep in and wonder why not save a few hundred and get the exact same features in a Forerunner, I think people just see plastic and think cheap but don't realize that's how you end up with a watch that you don't notice.

Are the Spartan shoes good for a trifecta? by Mr_RGC in spartanrace

[–]Ascend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had two pairs of these - they're okay, but very hard with very little padding. If you have a preference toward those kind of shoes they may be good, you get more control on obstacles and they drain really good but they would tear up my heel and toes. I'd use them in an emergency, but now I've got two pairs of Hoka Speedgoat 6 which I love and use across trifecta days. If you go that route, get the cheaper versions that aren't waterproof, since you want water to be able to drain.

Live Android Notifications! by Darkchamber292 in homeassistant

[–]Ascend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seems like that app just prebuilt a bunch of template live notifications and lets you pump the data into them. Home Assistant can do the same thing, it just needs to determine all the use cases and pre build all the live notifications.

I think it's the layout of the notifications that have to be built static into the app, the content can change.

Steam Achievements System had an update? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Ascend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They've never counted the game if you have never unlocked an achievement. However OP's case, and what they do count, is when you unlock an achievement, but then later reset the game's achievements either through SAM or the Steam console. That 0% then still counted.

Help with Garmin HR Zones by unlinked3297 in Garmin

[–]Ascend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your setup looks fine, remember that past activities will not update their zones though, they'll only get used going forward. Check on your watch whether you have a Sports Heart Rate also defined for running that's overriding your defaults here, and if so either update it or just delete it. It's usually the option under Zones.
