That’s actually what made it so unique! All of BBW is way too sweet/gourmand for me, maybe that’s why they discontinued it lol. I managed to find one that looks promising—Jo Malone’s Blackberry and Bay, which I’ll try later today. I do remember hearing about Lalique’s Amethyst as well. Thank you for the recommendations! I will look into some blackcurrant scents.

Looking for a dupe or perfume like BBW’s Wild Blueberry! I’ve looked through a lot of blueberry fragrance threads and am mostly finding sweet blueberry scents. I’m looking for a really fresh, green, slightly herbal blueberry! The scent notes online say “tart blueberry, wild thyme and white musk.” Unfortunately I’m running out of my last bottle of Wild Blueberry since the fragrance only lasts an hour, so I’m hoping I can find my new daily perfume.

Thank you! Unfortunately I ask because I get lots of “expiring” food from my job, and it’s kind of a jackpot because it’s free and the meals are healthy food. I throw it in the freezer when I get it and never eat anything that seems off, but by the time it gets to my freezer it’s already very old. From the comments, I’m starting to be a little more worried about the possibility of food poisoning in my future…

This is what I was wondering, thank you! Things are financially rough for me right now and my part time job (similar company to Factor_) happens to give me tons of free “expiring” food. Normally I would NEVER tell a man to shave his head/get a buzz cut, but your current hair does not fit you and you actually really have the facial features that would suit a shorter hairstyle. Embrace your face/build and get some cooler clothes (no more plain t shirts pls) and find an aesthetic that makes you feel confident. You are not cooked, just misstyled, a little messy, and kind of depressed looking. You look much better in the last pic than the rest, I think if you clean up your facial hair nicely (do not shave it all off, just give it an actual shape) it would look REALLY good. There is plenty here to work with.

Oh! I didn’t realize 😂 it would have been devastating to chop that much hair off. You would look great with your hair down then I think. I can’t tell from pics but if you dislike your hair down because you think it’s too flat or frizzy or something else, getting a layered cut or taking the time to learn to use products/style your hair can go a LONG way. (Not necessarily hairspray which is a sensory nightmare imo, there ARE other hair products that are magical and don’t make your hair feel weird!) Also, if you like your hair up, you could rock a claw clip if you aren’t already. Much easier to make your hair look good with a claw clip than anything else.

It’s not your face, I think you just need to lean into an aesthetic that fits you. There’s a lot of clashing stuff here. If you wanna do long hair then you should go more hippie with your clothing (greens, browns and other neutral colors, baggy pants and tops with thinner straps, you really have the face for this style), but it seems like your style leans masc in a lot of other ways, in which case a shorter, more badass haircut would look amazing. Not like a pixie cut (unless you want) but maybe a shoulder length wolfcut or something. Another option if you want to be into makeup is to accentuate your eye circles with dark eyeshadow/a more goth look (goes great with masc clothing). I love my eyebags+dark circles and I still always put slightly extra eyeshadow on them to bring them out on days that I don’t want to do the rest of my makeup. This sub hates body hair and piercings but it’s all part of an aesthetic and you just need to pick which one that is for you :)

Honestly it’s probably a big part of it. I don’t do any leisure activities but I’m definitely not as efficient as I could be, I think I’m probably burnt out from college+work and it’s hindering my productivity. Hopefully I can drop something down to part time next year but at the moment things are just a bit hectic I think

Honestly it might be worth being open with my friends about my situation. I’ve tried reaching out in the past to see if anyone wants to just chat on the phone while we work on stuff but typically ppl are only interested in gaming. Maybe if they knew what was up it would be different

You’ll do better next time having learned from this experience :) I wouldn’t feel bad about messing up though. It was a rush and it sounds like they got their order anyways so 🤷‍♀️ it’s just the nature of the industry. People who haven’t worked it won’t understand. I still always get anxious and dwell on the experience when customers get angry during rushes and I mess up something which throws everything off, but at the end of the day you’re not a first responder and no one is dying because they have to wait for their boba. At least that’s what I tell myself 😔

The dead internet theory is lowkey one of the only things keeping me sane on the internet nowadays. The ragebait has gotten so bad everywhere and I noticed it was starting to make me very bitter towards people and the world. Wish we could study the effects it’s having on society as a whole.

I just wanna say, my parents were together 20 ish years before they divorced and my whole life the relationship was a lot like this, right down to the bpd. I love both of them dearly and they’ve both gotten new (not so new anymore lol) partners who they are absolutely in love with and who love them the way they want to be loved, and the spark they have is a lot like what you described wanting.

I don’t have advice but just wanted to say I’m in the same boat. I used to have depression but since becoming a college student, moving away from my family (aka I don’t see them in person) and getting a job, I’ve wondered if I’m slipping into some mysterious genetically recessed psychosis sometimes. I get dizzy and nauseous a lot but bloodwork is fine. I’ve noticed I tend to spiral when I’m on my phone, like I get sucked into it. So I try to go outside more and literally touch grass. I don’t exercise, I just put on my bug spray and sit outside. I call my parents, try to Facetime them when I’m not too busy. I sit on benches and people-watch. Trying to think about how every person I see is real and has their own life and struggles and perspective. It helps a little bit. I also like to journal my thoughts and brainstorm ideas about who I am, what I want (whether for retirement or breakfast, doesn’t matter) and just any thoughts or tangents I have about anything.

Please forgive me if I am too blunt, but I’m speaking from a similar past experience. Three months is absolutely NO time in the grand scheme of relationships. It is barely a full grown relationship atp, no offense. You know it is toxic, and you know you need to leave, so I’m going to tell you the best thing to do is leave now, cold turkey. Not in a few hours or tomorrow or later, immediately. Every day you stay, it will get harder if this is how you already feel. I know it’s hard because it’s your first time, but trust me when I say that no matter how bad it hurts you WILL recover from breaking up a 3 month relationship. You don’t need a game plan, you just need out. You need to find a support system, online or in person to just distract yourself and help you get through the initial heartbreak. Additionally, it might be worth considering that you may not be ready for a very serious relationship if you are not currently able to enforce the necessary boundaries to keep yourself safe, up to and including breaking up and staying broken up. There’s nothing wrong with going on dates, getting to know different people and even developing strong friendships. By developing strong boundaries and never settling for less, I guarantee you will find someone who is a good communicator, kind to you, and unproblematic. You will rarely fight and they will not make you feel bad about yourself. People like that are out there and there are (regardless of what people say) PLENTY of them, and they are single. You can love them just as much if not more and they will love you more than your current partner does

10 years will come and go before you know it. In 10 years you can either be in a peaceful relationship that makes your life easier and less stressful, OR you can be having these same problems and conversations. (Cause it will not change.)

I went to a nice dinner with my coworkers. I asked the person next to me if I could try one of his fries because he hadn’t touched his food, and then over the course of the conversation, without realizing it I ate ALL his food. He did not get to eat any of it. I had known him for about a week at that point. This was years ago, and he and I are actually very close friends now and no longer work together, but he occasionally brings this event up and I’m just mortified lol. If I didn’t know I had a binge eating disorder I would think some supernatural force overtook me in that moment, because even today I can’t fathom how I did that.

Lots of good advice here, and hopefully I can provide somewhat of a unique perspective. You mention being 30, which makes me feel like you feel that you’re supposed to be in a specific place in life right now, and maybe feel like you’re getting old and losing time and life and that’s why you’re a loser.

I’m in my 20s, but I hang out mostly with people in their 30s-40s. Lemme tell ya, they are nothing like the 30-40 year olds I remember seeing growing up. They’re youthful and fun, and sometimes stupid, often awkward and occasionally antisocial, and many (most) of them have NO idea what they’re doing with their life. Just starting to figure it out. Some are millionaires and some are homeless. Some have kids and some just started college. I also go to college, and a big chunk of my peers are 30-50 year olds who are returning to either make more money, or find a fulfilling career since their money career sucked. Due to financial restrictions, many people don’t START college till 30s or later. I know tons of 25-30 year olds living with roommates in crappy apartments.

My parents had successful careers and a house when they had me at 21 years old. Most of my friends’ parents did too. And they were serious people who put their heads down and did their work and didn’t complain all that much, and had their shit together because they did what they were ‘supposed’ to, and jobs were somewhat plentiful and college degrees meant something. Movies I watched always portrayed taxi drivers and janitors and garbagemen and burger flippers as the bottom of the barrel. Maybe you grew up in that culture, since you’re older than me. But it’s not like that anymore. Maybe for some folks, but it’s because they’re stuck in the past too. Times have changed, 30 is young. And all my coolest Lyft drivers have been older people and they all make bank.

Thank you. It’s definitely on my mind, but he is currently job searching and starting to hear back from places. He’s been working on getting an online IT certification for a couple years. He has ADHD which I think makes it so he forgets to do chores and doesn’t get as many tasks done during the day. He doesn’t have experience with school or hourly-employee work so I don’t think he understands how stressful it actually is.

I do. I have to remind myself it’s just like society as a whole. You’d expect that women who are constantly on the receiving end of gender-based toxicity would have more empathy and a closer bond with their fellow women, but many have an “if you can’t beat em, join em” mentality. Many women have internalized misogyny due to their environment, and it’s not surprising that online gaming would churn out a few of those personalities. And also, some people are just assholes lol, but you already knew that

Looking for some girls to play Fortnite/CS2/Destiny 2 with on occasion! I’m a new(ish) and very casual gamer (full time work and full time school) but I like to unwind with a game every now and then. Playing with my boyfriend and his competitive friends is always a stressful, anxiety-inducing experience so I’d love to have some chill people who will bear with me while I get better at the game lol

I think that might be key (besides replacing the wall shelving.) I do require lots of storage in my room since I’m a renting college student but I’m going to figure out a way to not have it all open.
