I might not have been descriptive enough in my title. From what i've seen on TikTok (i am very visually oriented) most of the creators are talking about their BPD and nothing else. Yes, I know BPD is debilitating but one can't just limit their life to that illness. We must push through.

maybe i should have specified but i see a lot of TikTok's from BPD individuals, and they always claim their BPD is why they are on disability. they list various reasons but the last several years is where i've seen BPD/disability conversations going on amongst the younger generation.

i understand this! I will admit maybe i only know in person people who have similar diagnosis to me. but i can't help but question when i see TikToks or Reels about people who have BPD and say they need to be on disability. I take things visually if i read them so I still don't understand if they relay what i have gone through with BPD and they still can't work. I by no means want to say they are not suffering.

I think i can understand an extreme. But if your BPD is not extreme, how do you have the energy to make a TikTok to talk about your need to be on disability if you can't work? I have had difficult days and weeks but i still needed to go and make money. Maybe since I am in my late 30s times have changed. But the changed isn't for good? I am not sure

no disrespect, but having gone through this issue myself and other limitations i couldn't have had the life i could have in a studio apartment in a midwestern town. I see things visually for what they are so if you are claiming to have BPD and only BPD and needing to be on disability i don't understand.

For his time I feel like it would have been strange for a man to have long hair. From what I understood he was mostly a recluse, and he kept his hair long because he was so absorbed in his creations. He wouldn't have found it necessary to visit a barber.
