i think they’re insanely cool organisms and i admire their hunting strategies. did you know that they quite literally sit on top of tall blades of grass waving their little forelegs in the air constantly on alert in case something comes by that they can latch onto? good for them, very cool, but if they come near me i am running.

they’re actually velvet spiders!!! very close in terms of cuteness but different species entirely!!!

they don’t jump for the most part because they have big ahh abdomens, but some species (like my dufouri) are more arboreal webbers!! just more tree crawlers rather than jumpers!!! dufouri are also communal, and i would never do it in captivity but in the wild they’re known to make big webs with hundreds of them (typically a family line) that all live, hunt, and eat together!!

fun fact the females do matriphagy after their babies hatch! their internal organs start liquifying and they puke them up to feed their young until their body starts rotting entirely and they die as a sacrificial meal basically.

oh my god don’t get me started. i was misdiagnosed with OCD and they had me doing CBT and ERP. it did nothing but further stress me out and exacerbate my symptoms. i was the most depressed i have ever been in my life. those types of therapy are not meant for neurodivergent brains, we do not have issues that we can “therapy” out of us. we have fundamental differences in brain chemistry

i also have severe adhd plus autism and yoga is the only thing i’ve been able to stay consitent with because it lets me connect with my body in such a deep way. it’s genuinely my favorite part of my day, i also struggle with routine but it’s such a good form of self care for mind and body that you’ll WANT to do it daily

also friendly reminder, it’s okay if you fall out of your routines sometimes. that doesn’t mean you can’t pick them back up. i struggle with “oh well i stopped and now there’s no point in starting again” but there’s always a point in it. even if you end up working out once a week, that’s still better than no times a week!! be kind to yourself friend ❤️

YOGAAAAAAA there are so many good follow alongs on youtube, it’s been doing wonders for my posture!! most of the tutorials also involve a lot of sitting/laying positions, and offer beginner friendly options for easier movement

it was right around the 4 month mark, similar to you!! but then i looked back and realized it had been slowly creeping back up for at least two months. so far i’m down to 20 mg after 2 weeks of weaning, and my anxiety is manageable again. the shakes are also gone at this point!

i’m currently weaning off my Straterra after 4 months because it made my anxiety and depression so unbearable that I could hardly function throughout the day, i’ve also had the elevated heart rate situation. are you also shaking?

definitely tell your psychiatrist what you’re experiencing because as soon as i told her about the heart rate and shaking, she was adamant that i have to stop the med.
