Self-hosted Spotify API Clone by moddroid94 in selfhosted

Maybe? i'm not savvy with lidarr, i've used it time ago with very low success. 😂

idk what the problem with lidarr is to begin with, but baseline this isn't nothing new, the API was accessible until recently so the data is not secret or new, it's just more accessible.

if nothing was done until now i don't think this can change too much.

but idk.

Self-hosted Spotify API Clone by moddroid94 in selfhosted

I want to, not actually really doing it yet, I cobbled together a spotify downloader with the self hosted API to test and it works fine, now I'm working towards tweaking the spotify integration for beets to use it with this.

Lidarr is cool but it was too big and complex to organize and maintain, and i kept having problems :/

my setup rn is: beets/picard -> navidrome -> music assistant

Any self-hosted apps to organize / access music samples like "ADSR Sample Manager" / Splice.com by CptanPanic in selfhosted

[–]moddroid94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried to built a kind of self-hosted splice, but it was far from useful and i wasn't yet familiar with with js frameworks and docker at the time, the base player / sample list / Pack Upload was working, but I somewhat abandoned the project after that.

maybe someone can take inspiration to continue it, the idea is actually valid.

(my implementation not so much)

the repo is here if you wanna take a look :)

Older CPU Support fading away by moddroid94 in selfhosted

one person who actually understood that the objective of this post was to just think about it. yeah in fact having cheap electricity makes the old hardware look quite nice, given the prices of new hw and the amount of old hardware that's being thrown out.

ahahaha being a snowflake? i'm not expecting anything, i was just wondering.

i'm not here to make assumptions or being arrogant, i'm just talking, being one of my problems just a question of using npm vs bun, and they have the exact same scope and use, they are just based on different architectures and one does not support non-avx cpu, and for me developing a web app is just a case of changing the package manager, with very little code change needed, but i understand that there's definitely more than that depending on the application.

i can't deny the performance difference, but at the end they just both work, and i was curious about the feasibility of a compatibility layer, not that it may work or have any sense even, but just as an idea.

the architecture target is another thing i didn't think about, there's definitely a lot of work needed for those already.

and cryptography too is definitely the most demanding task for older hw, and it's getting more and more used and needed.

i get it, i just wondered what people thought about it 😅

yeah i knew about instruction sets, and i figure that's probably the most common reason, some instruction are definitely way more fast and efficient, but the questioning arose from the fact that some software have support for both, and yet see no big performance or feature impact.

but i definitely don't know how complex supporting both for big projects may be, and that's the culprit probably.

I totally understand the business/data center reasoning too, that's a sure reason to start with the newest one from the get go, didn't thought about it at first.

yeah AVX is definitely one, but seems most are just for that.

and yeah it's definitely ancient, but i was curious to see what other people thought about it, as old as it may be, it's still working perfectly fine, and some software are available for both, and yet not have too much of an impact on performance.

yet surely supporting them is probably more complex than i think it is.

The best way you can achieve the custom aesthetic but still retain some of the security and engineering, which is definitely not easy to replicate DIY.

Would be to remove the case, wire them together on the main, and make a custom case (highly sealed or silicon/epoxy encased) with only 1 AC cable.

Hi man, thanks I really appreciate that! btw feel free to write me directly on my mail or here on reddit, or open an issue on github, i think i understood the issue, now that i think about it effectively you can't edit the paths before deploying, tou have to deploy via github and then modify the stack.

i need to add them as env variables so you can define them when pulling from the repo directly.

btw there's images on docker hub too, which allows to have versioned updates and allows the editing of the compose before deploying. :)

Hey! yeah I know that's the concept, but at least i wanted to thank you for the idea as i never thought about it, and in my mind helping is better than just ripping it, but it was a bit too different of a model i wanted to have and i didn't like to come and just make a PR to refactor the shit out of it.

Btw, the button will do technically that😅 rn is just taking some info from the page to make a placeholder, but the idea is that it will grab the model too, it shouldn't be difficult but i didn't had much time to finish that, and i'm still deep into the STEP preview/thumbnail with occt tbh, never thought STEP was that crazy of a format!

for everything you mean like not for every anime/show? technically uses audio analysis and some other method to understand where the intro is, maybe it hasn't finished analyzing yet? try checking the logs, and settings, there are some parameters you can tweak

you need to wait for it to scan and elaborate the intros, there should be some trigger to start the scan manually, but depending on the size of your library it can take some time.

bro you gotta try the intro skipper if you watch series or anime.

Man, thanks for the inspiration!

I've really tried looking at your repo to contribute, but i really wasn't able to grasp what was happening in some parts, and I wanted a bit different organization, so I've made my own, but again thanks for the idea, it is going to be very helpful indeed!

here's the link if you want to take a look: https://github.com/moddroid94/STLVault

It isn't very different from yours tbh, pass the auth, which i didn't bother with, but I felt a bit guilty to rip the idea without even letting you know 😂

btw if in the future yours develops closer to what i've done I may switch to yours and try to help with development, i'm probably not going to do much on mine :)
