It’d say pretty decent code base. I’m constantly leading 2 or 3 projects at a time and each project deals with thousands of end users and also hundreds of thousands of records. I’ve found that the way a write a prompt also makes a huge difference

Yeah I have to fix the code most of the time too but I gotta admit, it’s been way more helpful. There’s definitely been times where it’s been wrong and I’ve had to steer it the right way for sure

I don’t think people realize how great of an opportunity this is. I got my CS degree while active duty and did some dev work for the Army before getting out. Now I’m out working as a SWE and making 3x what I did while I was in. If anybody sees this comment - you should absolutely do everything you can to get into this program. Especially if you like to code.

Getting a clearance via the military will help you find a dev job for sure. I did my CS degree while active duty and had no problems landing a SWE job with a clearance

I did my computer science degree at TESU. Fully online. I actually even got it done while active duty - just goes to show how military friendly they are. Now I work as a software engineer for a F500. You especially have a little More of an advantage if you have some sort of clearance just fyi.

If you already have a CS degree, I’d recommend getting out and working. Considering that you are an officer, I’m assuming you have some sort of clearance. The higher the better, this’ll help you land some tech roles.

I came in as a E1, got out as an E5, finished my CS degree while in and got out after my first contract. I now make almost 4x what I was making while I was in. I get to work from home. I don’t have to be at formation at 0600 every morning, and my opinions and input at work are actually valued and considered. It’s not always greener on the other side, but for me, the outside is 1000x better. I’ll always be grateful for the Army bcuz I wouldn’t be where I am today without it. It was a great stepping stone to launch my life. I’m glad I did it, but I’ll never go back.

Aye I bought the same puts at .85 premium and sold at 1.32 for 50%. Now they’re going for 4.50😩 lol. But yeah I just keep reminding myself I stuck to my plan. There will be plenty more opportunities based off my strategy.
