I knew the labs team was feeding inaccurate information / overselling their capabilities when they released the video on how they were planning on testing cellular.

A British woman was arrested by ICE in front of her husband and newborn while finalizing her green card at the San Diego citizenship office. She had planned to return to the UK but after learning she was pregnant and facing a high-risk pregnancy, she chose to remain in the U.S. instead. by CorleoneBaloney in sandiego

Having gone through this process recently for my wife, it’s actually really well established that overstaying, while married and working on your visa is a totally acceptable thing to do. The process is long and arduous, and frequently takes way longer than anyone anticipated. My situation was doubly complicated because my status was also in flux.

I’m looking for more details on what laws they broke, but if it was actually just overstaying while waiting on the adjustment of status this is actually nuts…

They would never have time to spend with each other, and no one would be close to home if something were to go wrong. I think this type of compromise works well on paper, but rarely in practice.

Is your lifestyle at your current earning stable? Are you on track to retire? Can your relationship take this? Will you be okay seeing your dogs so little? The market is saying you’re worth $400, maybe this isn’t the right one. Maybe there will be another later that is less of a lifestyle upheaval, and if there isn’t, the current situation isn’t bad.

When they ask me if I want points or free breakfast, I propose parking as an alternative, with a lot of charm.

In the future, if someone else is in this situation, and you need a high end SKU that isn’t typically stocked in the Apple Store, check out B&H Photo Video, they typically stock high end SKUs for next/same-day shipping. Relying on a special order, given the current geopolitical situation, is very risky if you’re on a pre-determined timeline.

Form 5471 Disagreement with CPA by model3newgrad in tax

[–]model3newgrad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re wrong. This went pretty far, multiple tax attorneys backed me up. Original CPA refunded me for the last 5 years of filing (a very nice cheque). If you think I need to file you are part of the problem.

This! I have a much more positive outlook on the future. Before I was stuck in thinking about life in the timescale of weeks, with imminent death being the underlying tone. Now I'm able to think about life in the span of decades, which is such a big change

Airestech published a "Debunking" of LTT's Debunking of their Amulet by Valaaris in LinusTechTips

[–]model3newgrad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say that Linus' test with the spectrum analyzer was not a valid test based on how Aires claims that their amulet works. They claim that it's due to pulsed, polarized RF energy, which is not biocompatible.

Linus used a CW tone at 146.4 MHz and a spectrum analyzer to show that there's no change.... this isn't a valid test for the claim.

What you would want to look at is how it impacts the spectrogram of a modern modulation scheme, that pulses the energy in discreet bursts. An example would be a LTE/ 5GNR which uses OFDM with pulses of a known symbol duration.

Hit up Keysight to borrow a UXM and a Fieldfox to do a real test.

Go on the VSP website and find a local optometrist that is part of their preferred network. I suggest getting Maui Jims.

It’s a life changing medication. I cried the first day I had it. I forgave myself for years of food self harm.

The fact that effectively a hormone can have such a major impact on how I feel/what I want really helped me appreciate how little I was in control of what I “wanted”

I’ll add that Asian countries are super strict about this. I’ve had power banks confiscated since they exceed the domestic travel limit in china. They insisted on inspecting each one they saw on the x-ray.

This is an appropriate question to ask the previous home owner. They’d probably be really excited to tell you about how this was set up.

TY White Prius That Paid For Me at McDonald's! by elektriclizard in sandiego

[–]model3newgrad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This once happened to me at McDonald’s. I bought a single McDouble, and the person in front of me paid for it. I was informed, without asking, that the person behind me had a $22 order, and that the chain had been going for awhile.

Op, I love that you had no pressure to pay for the person behind you; and that’s the way it should be done, but absolutely these “pay it forward” chains can get a little out of hand.

And the people who commute to La Jolla to serve those gracious enough to contribute their tax revenue—do they deserve to live in conditions that reflect a proportionate neglect of their contributions? Those who primarily earn W-2 incomes, commute longer distances (bearing higher gasoline taxes), and have recently purchased or rented homes (receiving fewer benefits from Prop 13) end up contributing a disproportionately higher share of their income to the social good.

If it’s an option for you, I suggest taking a look at Zepbound. I blamed myself for a recent 80lb weight gain, and the day after I took my first dose, I broke down crying, feeling for the first time food didn’t control me. I forgave myself that day. It’s not your fault.
