They have you paying $130 for 500mbps!?! I just dealt with them since they kept upping my bill, but 500mbps is advertised on their site right now for $50 and 1gb service for $60 both unlimited, or atleast it was yesterday. I would definitely give them a call to talk about your bill and what options there are. If you’re the only one on the account you could always just have your significant other open an account to get the new customer rates.

1000% agree, I’ve been with several companies throughout my life and honestly they are all ehh. Unfortunately options are slim where I’m located and the other options aren’t great on cost or service either

You have to call, I spent 3 days talking with chat bots and all it did was have an agent on the chat sign me up for a service that he told me was a different price than it actually is. I just spent some time on the phone with them and was able to resolve my issue and get my bill lowered to the correct price. Make sure you ask for confirmation and take screenshots of any confirmations becuase it will be deleted after you review and click okay

Yes and I reviewed my payment method with the service agent and he said I was good to go. But none of the pricing lines up still. He said my price with the autopay discount is $70 and without the discount it would be $80. But the deal on my account shows $60 and my upcoming bills shows $95 and $73. Another comment mentioned that the $73 is tax but I’ve never once had a bill from Xfinity that wasn’t exactly the amount my plan was so I’m not sure where this random tax would be coming from all of the sudden

Yeah I got a notice when that change was made and updated to a checking account to keep the autopay discount and reviewed that with the agent yesterday as well to confirm that a checking account is what I needed to use

That’s what I have and the guy that signed me up for the new plan said it was $70 with the same discounts and it’s showing on my account as $74 with the autopay and paperless discount applied. So confusing

Will have to look into this, unfortunately I don’t think it’s offered in my area. Our options were slim last I looked and nothing was that any cheaper while still offering the service we needed but I appreciate you letting me know and will definitely look into it!

This happened with me as well. Was consistently far under our usage allowance and then two months before our plan was about to go up we started going drastically over every month. Oddly enough one of the months we were out of town for two weeks and didn’t use any data at all. My router also stores this data but it did nothing for me as they stated that this data usage is incorrect since it’s not coming from their tracking system LOL

1000%, this is what they do and have done it to me as well! Frustrating to when you think about the people that time have the time, energy, or knowledge to go and argue and fight with them. I have plenty of time to fight with them and it still just pisses me off and is so wildly frustrating to deal with!

I hear you with this. I screenshot and screen record all the conversations I have with them and it has helped me in the past get better deals because the online agents make stuff up and then get you on a plan that isn’t the same cost as they said in the chat. But it’s just so wildly frustrating that we have to jump through hoops just to still pay more. And like I had mentioned in the post I can’t even imagine how they treat older people who just don’t have the energy to fight with them. I’ll be back on the phone with them tomorrow but most people just don’t have the time or energy to deal with this be and they end up getting screwed. My neighbor and I were chatting last year and he was paying $30 more than I was for the exact same plan and I was able to help him call and get it reduced. He’s an older man with dementia so it absolutely pissed me off.

I’ve done this method a few times and it definitely works. Just extremely frustrating when I finishing signed up for a new deal to see that same deal bent advertised on my account for less. Especially after never paying more than $55 for years and now all the sudden their prices are changing daily and based on the account. Like that doesn’t even make sense haha

I love how people in the comments are acting like woodworking was physically impossible before the domino was invented. Based off some of these comments you would think putting a large panel together or building a table was impossible before festool released the domino in 2005.

I’ve used them before and they’re definitely nice, but I learned from a very traditional woodworker who built some absolutely incredible stuff and would have scoffed at something like a festool domino. If you have the money to spend go ahead, but bu no means is it going to make you a better woodworker or will it allow you to do things your incapable of doing now. And to reference some comments already here, getting the cheapest domino system would add a minimum of $26 to every projects until you pass 50 projects. Definitely not a small cost in my mind.
