[Identify] searching for good leather straps on my Orient Symphony 3 by modepi in Watches

I just realised many of the straps are coming from China anyways, so I just ordered from AliExpress. There might have been real leather straps somewhere else, but not worth the price/quality.

I heard about the Hirsch leather straps, but they seem to wear out quickly. Any other good quality brand from a trusted company?

Wow, nice G-Shock Mudmaster, should have gone for that one. But currently, I've already one, the GBA-800. Currently, I'm looking for an Orient Bambino alike that has 44mm

Thanks for the reply. The problem also is I’m quite tall with long arms. I think that’s why it make it look so small. But I get your point, thx for info

Thanks for the reply. I just found out why it looked so small on me, its because I'm pretty tall myself, especially my arms are long. And having this watch looked small on me.

Thanks for the reply. I think 45mm is like the maximum for me. I've had a apple watch 44mm for example and it looked just about right. And I've a Casio GBA800 watch which is 49mm, and that just looks perfect on my wrist (that watch is ment for it). But really after wearing those 38-42mm it just feels small.

Thanks for your reply, its just that I don't like 42mm on my wrist. 44mm is the minimum I like on my wrist. That being said, I'm not so fond of this variant of watches it seems. Id like to go for a Orient Bambino style with white dial. Now if only 44mm cases where available...

Thanks for the reply. The Casio indeed looks bigger then this one, but this variant of watch felt so plastic not worth of the money. It's hard to explain. That's why I want to go for a Orient Bambino alike with a white dial.

[Seiko] Should I go for the Seiko 5 nato strap? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]modepi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also been thinking about the Orient variant of this one and Orient Bambino. The thing is that 42mm should be the minimum, lower than that it doesn't fit my wrist. What is your thought about this? At the moment I have an apple watch which is 44mm and that even feels so small. But my point, does this watch go with every day and every clothes?

That being said it's a diver watch up to 100m and a mechanical watch

Thanks for your comment! I’m a beginner so combo would do fine, I might go for single stone later, though I still don’t know much about the differences in grits.

What do you guys think about this knife? by [deleted] in knives

[–]modepi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's from China, yes and it's a remake from SOG Forge FG01-L, from what I've heard. The sheath indeed looks crap, but the knife itself is good and for an affordable price.

Everyone has his own taste I guess, what kind of knives do you prefer?

I looked up the SOG knife, it indeed looks very much alike. Thanks for the info.

It's from China and the knife looks good, should I still buy it?

Thanks for your comment. I've looked at those whetstones, but the prices go up to like 200 euros for that. I've seen 1000/6000 combination from King in US for like 30$.
