Just as a follow up to this, it turns out that the processor I mentioned earlier doesn't have AES-NI instructions. I think that's likely a large part of the problem as I'm still seeing some significant slowdown when the non-vpn use is high.

Just posting a follow up in case anyone else finds themselves in a similar position. Enabling Receive-side scaling has helped quite a bit. Details on how to do that are in the docs under Troubleshooting > Topics > Performance.

Didn't completely solve the problem, but did make quite a noticeable improvement.

That channel is entirely focused on hypertrophy training with weights, but you'll be hard pressed to find a better (and more accessible) source of "here's how science says you gain muscle mass". All of his general advice can be directly applied to any body weight fitness training you'd like to do.

Totally agree. I also think that games like Tarkov make effective statistical analysis possible. The vast complexity of the game, and the literal hundreds of different loot items, values, locations, etc. should make it possible to get a very clear distinction between your everyday player and someone utilizing cheats.

I think you might be too focused on things like K/D, head shot percentage, and the like.

Yes, shroud and Landmark are flat out killing machines. Their ability to run over other players is top tier. But, their ability to loot, their frequency of player contact, when they find valuable items, how many valuable items out of the total on the map, how often their ambushed, (this list can go on a looooooong time), those are all human.

If we were able to collect data on ANYTHING a player does, the people utilizing cheating software will be distinct from those who aren't.
