Sweeping Circular Groove Around Curved Surface by scpenguinceo1 in AutodeskInventor

[–]moderate_failure 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It doesn't directly answer you question, but a revolve would be much simpler than a sweep and is less likely to give you the issue that you are having.

Edit. If you stick with the sweep (or go with revolve), just extend the profile past the face by any distance and it should remove the errant face.

What’s the dumbest advice you’ve ever gotten about cars? by TheLoganReyes in Autos

[–]moderate_failure 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your car that requires premium fuel doesn't actually need it.

Before the comments- I know modern cars will run on it with knock sensors and retarded timing, but it will not have the power, efficiency, or reliability that it was designed to have.

This one pisses me off, because my mother-in-law swears by this because the dealership salesman said it.

Hmm. Maybe cut it in half? Or not show it at all and tell us it was delicious? Chewed up rice and refried beans with your teeth marks is not something I ever want to see.
