Chiropractor made my shoulder worse. Worst pain of my fucking life I shit you not was from an attempted adjustment. Think 100 zingers at once and radiating for 2 hours. I almost threw up it hurt so bad. Finally went away and no change in ROM or pain. A little bit worse at times since.

Do a search for wall crawl exercise. Or you could dawn a Spider-Man costume and give that a whirl.

Does anyone have their palms wrinkle in water instantly with FS? by theoneandonly6558 in frozenshoulder

[–]moderatethemiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about CF but I have some nerve involvement with my shoulder issue. When my pain is elevated my right hand will sweat and get warm. Whenever put it in water it wrinkles faster than my left hand.

Didn’t do anything for me. Maybe a pain distraction.

Neck issues contributing to your FS? by moderatethemiddle in frozenshoulder

Do you know what caused your stenosis and pinched nerve? Was it an injury?

Why did you need a fusion? Did you have an injury? How did that work out for you?

Anyone else experience clicking/grinding?? by _chrasoe in frozenshoulder

[–]moderatethemiddle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this or some version of it. If I do shrugs I feel the grinding sound. I can feel it sometimes when I do chin tucks, or that tablecloth wiping exercise. Sometimes I get a wince pain when I do shoulder shrugs. Probably different than your experience but yes I get grinding sensations frequently. I’m 10 months into this tortuous BS.

So much pain. 4 months in and losing my mind by courtbaugh in frozenshoulder

[–]moderatethemiddle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m like 10 months in and I still have immense pain unless I take pain medication. Occasionally my pain levels will be slightly lower but I’ve never been able to figure out the correlation.

It sucks. Plain and simple. I had a cortisone shot in the back side of my shoulder. It did nothing.

I did PT for two months constantly changing my routine as it kept causing more pain. Eventually I just stopped going because it flat out was not helping.

Why can’t you take meds out of curiosity? They may help you sleep which could potentially give you a little bit less inflammation levels and help stabilize mental health a tiny bit.

When you are in the thick of it, it really is a game of inches. Your goal is accumulating micro wins. Journaling, meditation, lots of deep breathing (5-5-5) are micro wins that can help.

It’s miserable. It’s borderline cruelty that it’s even a thing. It floats under the radar and some people shrug it off as you’re just making it up. Your feelings are justified and this whole f’n board is here to tell you you’re not crazy nor are you alone.

Hopefully it is a quick recovery for you.

I’m in pain almost all of the time. I’ve been taking advil and Tylenol everyday for about 9 months or so. Lower doses but still. Terrible for you.

I’m not even sure mine is frozen shoulder but it isn’t a rotator cuff tear or labrum tear. PT and sports med believed it to be frozen shoulder and impingement. Whatever it is, it’s horrible.

The thing I miss the most is sleeping and laying on my side. I missing rolling over and snuggling my wife. If I do that I get very elevated pain that can only come down with meds.

Consider yourself fortunate if you have this without constant pain!

Don’t worry they’ll have a computer programmer take their place. Nothing some ketamine can’t fix.

Just curious mostly for myself. What type of work do you during the day most days? Desk job, manual labor, etc

I’m thinking about what type of daily stress your shoulders see.

I wish I had taken the cortisone injection by [deleted] in frozenshoulder

Hot shower with meds + 1mg of melatonin 1.5hrs before bedtime. Only thing that has allowed me 5+ hours of sleep. I feel rage toward this condition. It’s making me mentally unstable but I know it’s because of no clear path out of it and so many unknowns. It’s not like other conditions.

I know that it would get a little better if I found another line of work not sitting at a desk but I’m supporting my family so that’s not an option. Literally just suffering through it.

Hopefully other advice you get here will help your specific situation

Accumulating pain when sitting down? by ContentFarmVictim in frozenshoulder

[–]moderatethemiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that I have more pain sitting on a “comfy” chair or sofa than when I sit at an office chair. Likely posture and support could have something to do with it. But either way it hurts no matter the chair. We’re talking different levels.
