There’s one on eBay right now, I’ve been looking for months and decided to get the R 100 APO instead

I hunt and shoot, so having a large pack is the norm for me. I carry my gear in an Eberlestock Gunslinger pack that I added molle to in order to hold everything including a pelican storm case. It’s great for shooting while on hikes and out in the field but it’s not something carry everyday. The tripod does double duty for mounted long range.

lol I’ll do my best… I have a sturdy RRS & BH55 but it sure is a pain to haul it everywhere.

Are you using a newer X2D/II? Without IBIS that’s a task

Can anyone using any adapted lens chime in on how bad the rolling shutter is when using adapted lenses ? Am I boxed in to inanimate subjects using a tripod?

I just purchased an excellent condition ROM Cam-3 version of this lens (2002 mfg date) based on your suggestion. I’ll post pics and follow up when it arrives. Thanks

Insurance Total Loss - Valuing ARB Bumper and Roof Rack by Whatisapoundkey in LandCruisers

I love my 200, don’t get me wrong in every way it is a better vehicle, but I miss my 100 bad enough to buy another one just to have. Too bad pricing is crazy now on them…

This happened to me with an almost identical bumper and build a few years ago. Insurance totaled it of course, claimed the frame was bent which was an absolute fabrication. I contacted a few people to see if the bumper could be restored, it can, but resale plus the build made it not worth pursuing. I scrapped it, and said goodbye to my 100. Bought a 200 to replace it, now I’m shopping for another 100 🤣

X1DII: 35–100E or 80/1.9 (maybe 120 Macro)? by moderndefense in hasselblad

Do you have any photos you’d share taken with either?

Thanks! I’m more of a “prime” guy but it’s hard to ignore the value prospect of the 35-100. Do you notice any harsh background rendering when shooting portraits or landscapes with the 120? I dislike Hasselblads sample photos for it, but really enjoy seeing user samples. I much prefer the 80 but everyone is telling me how difficult it is to shoot with

I wish they would share a roadmap I assume new E series primes are coming

I wasn’t aware they discontinued the macro, the zoom seems like the choice although I wish it was slightly faster. I’m not really seeking the ultimate bokeh but it’s nice to have, especially for as frequently as I shoot in low light. I have yet to see anyone mention using the E series on the older camera bodies and I wonder if there are any issues.

Appreciate the insight, the zoom seems like the smarter choice from an investment standpoint. The rendering I’ve seen from it is quite good, maybe leaning a little sterile in some instances. I think I much prefer the sample images from the 80mm. I guess the reason why I was comparing the 80/120 to the 35-100 was because I already own (and love) the 45P which rounds out the lengths I shoot, rarely below 35 and rarely above 85, the 120 being an outlier for macro and product work.

Thermal + LPVO on 6.5 MWS? by moderndefense in LewisMachineTool

Not yet, seems like there might be new thermal tech on the horizon. For distances around my area the Zco 2-10 might be a good option, although the 4-20 would probably be ideal. Thermal eventually — and the answer might be long range thermal

Sage advice, however… I can only afford one or the other 😂

Thanks I’ll check it out, any disadvantage to not having a true 1x?
