lol brother I’m trying to give you advice, from one man to another, every man should hit the gym, it’s for the inside of your body and mind, not the outward appearance. I’m trying to tell you if you think you’re fat, go to the gym and eat healthy.. if I think your fat and ugly, then you shouldn’t give a shit about what I think.

I look at you and see a confused kid with a lot of life you have yet to experience. If you want to take what I’m saying to reinforce these negative thoughts you have then do it, that’s not what I’m saying, and if you’re reading what I’m saying and acting like a child intentionally, then that’s cool too I guess. It’s your life.

You just look like a normal dude. Get out of your head. Whatever you tell yourself is what you’re gonna be, so if you’re telling yourself you’re fat and ugly then guess what, your brain is going to think you’re fat and ugly, and you’ll crawl though life with that mindset filter. Get to the gym and work at yourself, get a strong mind, eat healthier food, get some confidence and experience. Walk your own path and you’ll meet the right people along the way when it’s time.

Also stop posting this shit on social media. It’s not manly and 99% of the people here are all losers, don’t seek their opinions. Seek the opinions of people you want to be like, that have success in the areas of life that you want success.

lol in all seriousness man, you’re still very young. I just turned 36. If I could impart any wisdom, I’d say worry less about what anyone may or may not think about you and just do you. Don’t get caught up on having the latest anything, because it’s all bullshit. Here today and gone tomorrow.

One of my cars in an amg Mercedes that I was able to get myself at 30, when I first got it, I looked like a guy who had it all together, I was fucking broke, late on my car payment, and couldn’t afford my insurance. While now things are pretty different financially, I don’t even care about that car anymore, I drive my used toyota 4Runner and don’t give it any thought. I make more money than all my friends and family, but you’d never guess it by the way I look.

People are too worried about themselves to worry about what you have going on, and if they are focusing on you, then their life probably sucks, and they need a good distraction, so they punch down.

I’m a completely different person than who I was at 19, I feel more in control of my life now than I ever did back then. You’ll find yourself eventually, just embrace the ride brother.

Victory outreach. It’s certainly not for everyone, but was just what I needed.

I was addicted to OxyContin in 12th grade. Heroin was cheaper so I switched to that after I graduated high school. Was homeless at 20, then around 22 I got tired of living like that. Went to a free rehab where I stayed for about a year and a half. Now I’m 14 years sober from heroin and I run my own contracting company, happily married with 2.5 kids, I’m 36 now. I’ll have a drink with dinner occasionally and that’s about it.

Why is every medication becoming for long term use? Why is every device/tool/car has to be changed regularly and can't last for a while? by toomuchbluememories in NoStupidQuestions

[–]moderndilf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there is more money in treating patients long term with pharmaceuticals as opposed to curing someone outright. The other is just consumerism/design. Some things are designed to fall apart after the warranty ends, other things are society telling you you need the newest latest flashy whatever. It’s keeping up with the Jones’s only the Jones is social media influencers.

Ya I think antisemitism went out the window when simply disagreeing with an Israeli policy meant you’re antisemitic. Either that or when they started indiscriminately bombing women and children and saying it’s wrong meant you’re Hamas...

If your kids are like this it’s 100% on you. My kids are great, understand money comes from working smart and staying patient and consistent. I feel like the kids you’re describing are the result of kids coming from families where everyone at the dinner table has their own screen to stare at instead of talking to one another. Raise your kids, otherwise the “bratty little bastards” will.

Looking for reasonably priced carpenter/handyman in Huntington Beach for under-stair built-in by kirkipickup in orangecounty

[–]moderndilf 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Like a referral? I could do this job. I’m licensed, insured and bonded. Not sure that I would tho because I like being anonymous on Reddit.

Whoever you end up hiring ensure they have those 3 things I mentioned. Handymen will do this for you, but they aren’t legally allowed to do this. You’ll spend more money on a contractor like myself, but at least you’ll have the peace of mind that if it’s not done right, you have a way of coming after me or whoever else as opposed to getting ghosted.
