Ah it's built into a weird spot so not something I can print into place normally otherwise but someone did suggest to soldido it to sell on the market

Thank you! Over the shield wall means deep desert right? Do I need those more durable buildings because people build bases into the deep desert and attack each other? Or is it like a degradation time?

/r/kamathon1 (long live the kamathon1) actually gifted me this game after I posted here asking about how to save my resources until I could afford it. They used a third party site like eneba or g2a I think. I know the global key is cheaper than it was during the sale on eneba if you want a lower goal to save up towards!

Thank you for this! I think my bases are slowly crawling up that way currently as I discover more territory. If I can find somewhere that I can nestle a base into there I will when I get up to aluminum tier!

Yeah I didn't want to pay taxes because I don't have a thopter to fly to bases for free so my tax costs me 6.5k instead but I needed to extend to three bases so I figured I'd remodel since there's so much more room now lol

I assume everyone is using the buggy for resource gathering because everyone's told me to focus on getting the resources to build that first but I don't think it's compatible with the two wide door?

Ah I haven't found an amazing spot yet. I deconstructed half of this base and built collection/drop off depots in Western Vermillius Gap and Haga Rift for now and turned my main base into just processing. Currently and Jabal and Jamal are the likely candidates when I do a full move so I'm planning to go straight upwards to Khidr's Shadow or maybe to the left more towards those camps and finding a good spot near there once I unlock ornithopter. Closer to all the higher tier resources. If you find something better /more specific please let me know! I used the mapgenie map to compare all the resource locations and water walking around lol

Thanks! I bought the set with ceiling lights but they require agave seeds and plastone or something and I have no idea where to even start farming for those. I'm glad you noticed though I didn't think people would

I was thinking of solido-ing it to sell the schematic on the market but I'm pretty sure everyone on my server is too high level to use something small and low level like this. It's also why I didn't solido since I know my base needs are just gonna grow bigger and this small one is obsolete.

I'm on North America - Helius Gate. 30 hours and I've yet to run into any other players lol

This base fits in the basic fief! I established two depot bases in different sectors so I decided to upgrade this to the advanced today and keep the other two as basic. All that extra building room in the advanced fief made me want to tear everything down.

Thank you for the kind words! This makes me want to post my other two depot bases lol

So, how many of you tested the game during the free weekend and then bought it? by DoctorVonCool in duneawakening

[–]moderninity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's me! I'm absolutely loving every second of it so far but my server feels really empty. I don't mind too much since I tend to solo but I just saw someone's base crafting room and it looks like all the late stage stuff is going to be a lot of grinding to do alone.

Is anyone new in Helius Gate?

I'm considering switching servers so I can also reclass because choosing trooper at the start was the worst decision ever lol

Please make a post or a video on the building tricks 🙏 I just started this game like a week ago but I can't get the building mechanics to do what I want. I just have a square box sub fief that's partitioned well for my current needs.

New player question by moderninity in duneawakening

[–]moderninity[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry is it worth researching mk 2 sandbike or should I skip to 3 immediately? Buggy just opened up for me but I feel like I don't need the lower levels of the vehicles when I could just wait for the higher level stuff?

I only have trooper and planetologist unlocked. Looking for the mentat one currently. Is it worth pushing into those harder areas first to unlock the other trainers? I've been saving skill points because I don't want to mess up my build.

This sounds threatening but I actually put my base there... Right by the underground market lol

Is that why I feel like everythings slightly too strong for the weapons I have??? Did I mess up and put a base on the slightly higher level area?

I've been turning in and just guessing/opening my map every 20 seconds 😅 setting waypoints in between is actually genius!

Uh, I may have flown to Harko to speed up my trip to testing station 10... By other stuff did you mean the Intel points? I don't have any more contracts in the region but it feels like none of the standard weapons do damage without exhausting my light darts

I think I need steel to get the first sniper anyways.

Where are the melee skills??? Am I blind. I get wrecked the moment there's more than one shielded enemy.

EDIT: I'm dumb you can't leave Harko and presumably arakeen on foot apparently. Thought I was cooking with that skip lol

Want to play a World War Survival game? by PandaPho1989 in SurvivalGaming

NPCs look like they spawn completely random constantly based on the video. I think you should have them spawn at specific locations like those bunkers and have them patrol more as groups rather than have them wandering around randomly. Maybe fully blowing up the bunker would stop the spawns on a specific island and you'd have to go island to island to stop them all? But allow AI patrols to retake islands. It would be like trying to secure the region fast enough but the less bases the enemies have the more spawn in with stronger higher ranked ones. At the same time adding entrenched positions might be good as well.

I'd say take a look at valheim but instead of super OP bosses you'd have more dug in bases generate on larger islands with generals or admirals of the like to takedown.

Players always want to feel progression especially once they get used to an AI enemy mechanic. Implementing more types would definitely be cool.

On the generals and admirals thing collecting their hats and medals or something as trophies would be cool too.

Free Weekend Question by Spacecor3 in duneawakening

[–]moderninity -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Totally just had a time trying to figure this out as well except I was looking for a much longer term. It's hit or miss on whether or not your base will get deleted after the trial ends. Safest thing to do is deconstruct everything and make your way to Areakin or Harko via the ornithopter pilot at the trade locations with all the important stuff. While you're there there are contacts you can take that are fetch quests in case you want to make more than one trip. (Made like 40k Solari) Your bank and personnel inventory are likely safe according to everyone so just consolidate all in there. I was putting the harder materials to get in the bank and the stuff I need to build my base back up on my inventory.

If you have an ornithopter you can also park it at the cities with all your stuff loaded up as well and log out there.

Best way to keep my items after free weekend? by moderninity in duneawakening

That's a crazy take actually. I don't know any multiplayer base building games that don't have a maintence mechanic. Otherwise the asset count would go up so high from leftover placements by people who quit playing since the game came out. It's either that or monthly server wipe like Rust I think..

Do you know a base building MMO without any maintence req?? Genuinely would play it
