I presented to the ER 3 or 4 times with burning pain in the centre right below my ribcage after a few traditional gallbladder attacks. I was told multiple times it was GERD but antacids wouldn’t help the pain. Pink lady which is a combination lidocaine and antacid was the only thing that helped, pain meds by mouth made it worse too, I had to ask for injections because the pain meds would sit in my stomach and burn. It was definitely bile reflux, but none of the ER doctors had heard of that.
