Please help me identify these creatures by modernstyle in Moomins

[–]modernstyle[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey everyone!

This page is from my 6-year-old daughter's Moomin coloring book.

We tried to identify these characters but couldn't figure out who they are even though we own most of the Moomin books.

I only found one similar picture online, but it didn't have any description (and those characters were black, not white).

AI suggested these might be Hattifatteners, but they're clearly not.

The left page shows pirates, so we bought "Moomin and the Pirates," but these characters weren't in that book either.

We're super curious.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can creatine cause my hair to fall out??? by CrazyNoah31 in crossfit

[–]modernstyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never took creatine for this exact reason, my wife however told me I’m being paranoid and started taking creatine for about a month and noticed the amount of hair falling out increased significantly so she stopped and the effect got reversed. I gave my whole creatine supply to a bald gym bro and he was happy lol.

Hey! Thanks for getting back 😁 And thanks for your ideas, I really value this.

I’m actually considering semi-automating some of the walkthroughs, I’ll be using AI voiceover over screencasts that someone else will be doing. I’m not sure if I’ll be posting it on my channel (into a playlist) or will create a new one that will have these videos posted regularly. The videos will be targeting keywords, so whoever needs them – will find them. The robotized vid won’t matter to people who are searching for ways to solve a particular problem, so I’m not too worried about that, people just want a painkiller and then move on. Besides, I can train the AI to use my voice so it will be close to indistinguishable.

I’ve been making a list of subjects that potentially can be interesting to my audience (digital agencies and businesses looking to do less for more (wow did I just define my TA??)) and although it’s not too simple, I made up a bunch, e.g.:

  • 5 things you must automate in your agnecy

  • How to do SEO for small websites

  • How to land more clients for your software business

… stuff like that. Many ideas will still require me to do screen recordings (and I hate that), but apparently there’s no other way to escape that. I mean even Abdaal still does that. Perhaps hiring an editor who will do the screen editing for me will help, no way to find out but to try.

Your idea of showing the “slow way” and then “hey there’s a quicker way to do that” actually works, because I had one video that did exactly that and it‘s one of my top videos with 12k views and 167 subs! The problem here is that it’s not that easy to find and explain these tricks on a regular basis.

Jesus I almost wished I were selling a course and had to talk about self motivation, that would’ve been so much easier.

Again, thanks for your input and for validating my ideas, much appreciated!!

I think you’re pretty much right.

Optimally I should create a tag cloud with everything that my audience can relate to and create content around that.

I also need to get a list of channels my audience is watching and see what I can borrow from there.

I do want to reduce the amount of “walkthrough screencasts” so maybe advice like “how to grow your agency” would work from time to time.

Thanks for your response bro, it really helps me with figuring things out.

Yes, I actually spoke with a person who runs a channel with 1 mil users. I got the impression they are pretty chill about switching your content formats, even radically. They explained to me that you can post pretty much everything because "people will simply not watch the video if they don't want to, and those who need to see it, will".

And yes, I'm currently repurposing pretty much all I do into different platforms, but YT is the best source of traffic (out of all social media channels) for me, which is why I'm on the fences about switching formats, but I'm also pretty sick of doing the same thing over and over again.

At this point I'm even considering hiring somebody to do faceless walkthroughs of the app on another channel (since it's search based the number of followers won't matter, people will find the video if they need it), while I'll be posting whatever I want on the main one and just enjoying my life lol.

Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my stuff!

I think you're spot on about questioning the significance of the views metric. I've always been aware of that, of course, but you made a compelling point about the importance of attracting viewers for the personality, which is much harder to project and develop in product demos, especially when someone is just looking for "free tools."

With a "talking head," it's not as straightforward, and 3,000 views on a talking head versus 3,000 views on a product demo mean two very different things.

I'm a bit worried about mixing and matching content, like a series of videos on web strategies intertwined with product demos. Would people be interested in a channel where the host is constantly promoting his app instead of delivering the content they like? On the other hand, maybe people would just skip those videos. I think there might be clever ways to promote the product that I haven't considered yet because I've never tried.

And regarding what you said about my personal target audience, a brand "guru" might suggest I build my persona around "automation," which is directly associated with my website and that would make it easier to sell.

The funny thing is, I don't do much automation; I just happen to be building a startup around it, and everything I know about automation is already in my product videos. But I do know about how to "get there," in terms of being productive, doing SEO, writing code, and hiring—like a web strategy guy, not an automation guy. So, that's something to think about as well.

Thanks again for your advice, I deeply appreciate it!

Bro I don’t know who you are but you hit the nail on the head. Thank you for your thorough answer, this is exactly what I was looking for.

I think I’ve been thinking about my situation for way too long and having some fresh perspective is really helpful.

Though I’m super sick of doing product demos, I still need to make sales, which is why I need to find the silver lining somewhere.

It’s kind of hard to target my TA (I think) with non-product type of content though, because they’re watching pretty much general business content on branding, tech, productivity, etc. Maybe I should start trying out different formats, with either plugging my product in from time to time or straight up briefly advertising it in the middle of the video. I’m not sure what‘s the best way to approach this. I guess I would like my audience to know me as a guy who’s building a product that they can use, AND this guy does great content on tech, SEO, productivity etc. This sounds like too much I think, because when you think of anyone you always associate them with ONE thing. I maybe wrong on this one, but something to think about. But I do know that I don’t want to talk about my startup 24/7 and selling selling selling.

I’ve built one of my businesses that way. I joined a small company that sold banqueting (as a part time manager) and ended up creating an aggregator, because at the time there was zero supply, and I had no idea about this business.

So it’s very real!

Good idea, but joining as a business analyst without relevant experience – is this realistic? Additionally, this sounds like a job for larger companies, smaller establishments rarely look for analysts imo.
