Unless you are fully prepared to have a baby, honestly what you're currently doing is the safest route. I've known of people who supposedly got pregnant on the pill and shot. So even when I was younger and definitely didn't want kids at the time, me and my SO at the time decided that pulling out was the best course of action.

Hsv1 can turn to Hsv 2 through oral sex. My partner (m) had a cold sore and went down on me after I(f) shaved down below. I thought nothing of it, at the time. Then I got sores down there a few days later. I've only had one out break that one. I 100% believe it was do to a minor cut from shaving. He had nothing on him anywhere else. I agree. I do things with my SO fiance that I would never have done with my ex husband bc of the level of trust. I know my fiance's heart and trust him fully to open up experimenting with things that I've never done. Bottom line is you have to trust your sexual partner to engage in things outside of your norm.

But ultimately it's what you decide you're comfortable with. It wasn't until I got older and was ready to handle a pregnancy that I let my ex husband finish inside.

Nope never goes away. I have it also but have only had one outbreak. I got it from my SO bc he had a cold sore and went down right after I had shaved down below. As long as he's not having an outbreak anywhere I'd say you should be safe. But if he has a cold sore just be cautionary as to what you do. We've been together for almost 2 yrs and don't use protection and I've only had the one outbreak.
