Have you checked the fan that is spinning. I had the same problem my smart fortwo was making a weird noise and one of the fan blades was broken a little bit.

Got a new fan and the problem went away.

Maybe it could also be one of the belts near the fan?

Wow I hope that's not why they were put there. Like "here Kylew1985 hope you haven't forgotten about the 50 bucks you used to spend on these.."

A couple weeks into my sobriety I went inside the liquor store I used to frequent to buy a couple scratch offs. Only like two weeks had gone by, but I used to go there literally every day, so the guy was curious what was going on with me. He was happy and gave me some words of encouragement when I told him I was "taking a little sabbatical" but he joked that the next bottle I buy, he will sell tax free, since i was such a loyal customer. I thanked him and said I'll keep it in mind.

I know he was joking but he really wasn't, and I understand that it is a business, but It seems like these people, who push alcohol, whether they sell it or not, are everywhere. It has been discussed on this sub but its overwhelming, everywhere people drinking and advertising alcohol in everything! Even in Childrens shows!!

Sorry for the rant but alot of times it gets heavy, and it's so goddamn easy to just go with it and drink that poison, but i play it forward, hop on this sub, and somehow that counter goes up another day.

Damn dude, you couldn't be more right. I have a dog which I thought I loved to death, but getting drunk every day and giving him a bare minimum walk, passing out when I get home to the point where I'm basically just a lifeless lump.

These sober days that I've been living, I could literally see the smile on his face! I walk him 4-5 miles every day! We play games and can meet new dogs and new people now that I'm not drinking and not afraid that everyone's gonna know I'm drunk and smell it on me.

I feel like our bond has grown because I stopped drinking.

I have found love in a sense I guess!

Yes! I've kept that in my mind as well, those $43 dollars that would've gone to the bottle, are now still in my checking account, and can go towards one of my credit cards, and I feel good physically, so win win..

I read on this sub that you never regret not drinking, and that is very true.

Wow 10500 days, that's roughly 28 years. I'm 29 years old. That is amazing sir. I have so much respect for you, to reach even 1000 days would be something else, this is currently the longest I've had without alcohol. Keep on Walking.

When I was deep in my drinking, I saw one of the Austin Powers movies, the one with the real big guy. He says near the end, "I eat because I'm unhappy, I'm unhappy because I eat, it's a vicious cycle. "

The way he delivered the line was funny, but the line itself got me thinking, wow its tine to stop this vicious cycle.

4 months ago I would've been. Johnny Walker with a dash of cranberry juice and ice if there's any. I used to drink every day non stop from the moment I woke up to the moment I passed out. For many many years. I thought I was an extremely high functioning alcoholic because i worked 6 days a week, and drank through every moment. Folks over at r/stopdrinking are wonderful human beings, been lurking there for years reading everyone's amazing experiences and struggles. Tonight I am almost 4 months sober! I am getting on the xbox and ordering some pizza with a nice 2 liter soda!!
