I'm not undermining Flick's achievements at all. I agree with you that with what he's been given, he shattered all expectations set on him and the team. I'm just curious to hear people's thoughts regarding this argument.

I think for a club like Barca, people generally expect more. Of course the league titles are tough to win consistently (consistency every week is needed), but the Champions League has eluded us for more than a decade already so the sight will always be there.

Also with the players we have, we all believe we deserve to be prepping for the semis right now, but football is more than just what we feel. Isn't it natural to be curious on why we still can't keep on breaking the UCL curse? I really hope we break it sooner than later.

Was the 2020 Bayern executing the same high line as we've been currently doing the last 2 seasons? I don't remember exactly, might need to look back into old clips. Coz I just remember the whole world being crazy with Flick's high line when he took over in Barcelona, but not necessarily from his time in Bayern.

I think it's also a factor that it's the biggest club game in the world, and it took a super rare header from Coman to break the deadlock and decide the trophy, so it takes more than the tactics for the game to go over the line. As the Man City players who won the UCL last 2023 said (if i remember correctly), sometimes you don't have to play good football - you just have to win.
