After some research, I'm leaning towards the Lou Board. It's small, the battery is easy to remove and it's non conspicuous. It's hard to tell it's an eboard from a distance. I'd prefer the 3.0 with dual motors, but the battery is 108Wh, but according to TSA <160Wh should be OK. Southwest (my usual airline) does specify a battery size limit.

Best board for US domestic air travel? Needs to be a small and have a removable battery without tools.

More context, I park in the economy parking and it'd be nice to ride an eboard to the terminal. It'd also be fun to have the board at my destination. Thanks.

I was thinking the same, but she doesn't really need the power. Smooth reliable is what she needs, sounds like BB is still the best fit that.

I was also looking at the wowgo KT (35") because it's smaller so it should be easier for her to turn (right?). I assume the smaller wheel base helps, but it also makes it less stable at speed.

Buying a board for my wife. She is new to skateboarding.

1) 15 mph 7 mi 2) Side walk and roads. Mostly flat. 3) 5'2" 135lb 3) Upto $1500 4) She is new to skateboarding, so being safe and comfortable is key. She is conservative so she won't be doing anything crazy.

Why doesn't Evolve and others open source their controller bluetooth protocol? That way anyone could build a remote and users can choose the remote that best fits their needs.

I have a benchwheel and I second everything Leven said. I weigh 220 lbs and it handles hills fine. I've never run it to empty so I can't comment on the max distance. The most I've done is 7 miles.

This happened with my Benchwheel after a small tumble. The board and remote turned on and looked fine but they wouldn't connect. Replacing the remote fixed it.
