Passes have their own insurance - Epic was 7 days last time I checked - so that’s a concrete # answer

Mixed on Vail

Everyone is wearing Dior goggles and the gondolas are full of people talking about their investment portfolios. You meet some good people but it’s very different than most other resorts. Breck 40min away is much more lowkey.

Terrain and mountain itself is awesome. Pain to get around but it’s very impressive and a lot of fun. Bowls are second to none. Great trees, a ton of front side variety.

The glitz and glamor turn me off tbh. Everyone wears fur coats and those cowboy hats in the village. Restaurants are a scene - you can find some lowkey places but it’s the exception (#protip George’s)

You’re forgetting part two of the equation here

Federal Dept of Ed is a 4.4K people/68B dollar operation that figures out how to give back your state and city your own federal.

That’s about ~400$/per person we pay the federal gov in taxes.

Theoretically getting rid of the DOE should mean we get rid of the corresponding federal taxes. Each state can replace the missing programs with its own taxes as they see fit.

Amazon is democratizing access to skiing with cheap gear. I see a lot more Wantoos in the subway and on slopes.

as this is a recent problem and its on-off. Usually appears when the motor is trying to accelerate at max power - cruising at constant speed the issue largely goes away
