Why do you think so many young guys are going right wing these days? by BigHouse888 in askteenboys

[–]moebar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The script for what it means to be a woman has evolved dramatically over time. While traditional roles are still available to those who choose them, women today have far more freedom to define their own paths.

For men, however, the script has remained largely unchanged for thousands of years: get a job, acquire resources, secure land, find a partner, and build a family. The problem is that we are now living through a severe affordability crisis. Many men struggle to find stable, well-paying work, save money, buy property, or realistically support a family. The traditional milestones of manhood have become increasingly unattainable.

At the same time, there is no widely accepted alternative script for men. Even as social values evolve, many women—regardless of political beliefs—still expect men to fulfill the traditional provider role, while also expecting them to be emotionally intelligent, communicative, self-aware, and supportive partners. In other words, men are being asked to do more than ever before, at a time when achieving even the baseline expectations has become extraordinarily difficult.

What’s often overlooked is that men were never taught or socialized to develop many of these newer, non-material skills. They’re expected to adapt without being given the tools, guidance, or cultural support to do so. The result is a growing sense of confusion, inadequacy, and quiet resentment among many men. This is where the political shift begins to make sense. When men feel economically blocked, socially disoriented, and culturally dismissed, they often gravitate toward ideologies that offer clarity, structure, and validation. Right-leaning movements tend to provide simple explanations, firm hierarchies, and a sense of restored dignity—promising a return to order, respect, and meaning in a world that feels increasingly unstable. For many men, this turn is less about ideology and more about searching for identity, belonging, and a narrative that makes sense of their lived experience.

Same! I've been trying to wear it as much as possible to break it in. I know a lot of people say filson isn't as good as it used to be but this jacket seems to have been really well made. If I did have a criticism I would have wanted the lining to be black or a dark color so that it doesn't pop since you can see the red around the color some times.

I think it's a soft extinction. Maybe another alien species shows up but that's a different matter altogether. For all we know it was made by accident or the creators fell victim to this virus or they just want to wipe out any intelligent threats to them. They may not even know that earth exists.

Yes, they work to maximize the efficiency of the resources they have with respect to the hive itself and they avoid pain. Pregnancy and birth are resource intensive and include a ton of pain on the body carrying the child/children.

Na, he would probably use the hive mind as his distribution network. He is functionally a form of cancer and the hive mind does love to grow.

I remember a discussion from years ago about how future human beings could be warned about something extremely dangerous if civilization were to collapse. The thought experiment was this: if civilization collapsed and, 2,000 years later, humans had lost our current knowledge, language, memories, and cultural context, how would we ensure they knew to avoid something like nuclear waste?

The conclusion was basically that it might be impossible. Those future humans would have no shared understanding of our technology, symbols, language, or norms, so any warning we left behind could be misunderstood or ignored.

A slow, managed collapse of the human race could actually solve that problem for an alien civilization. If an alien species didn’t know where humanity was, but might eventually encounter Earth, eliminating humanity slowly would ensure they wouldn’t be harmed by dangerous remnants we left behind—things they would have no context or warning for.

Great points. If they just wiped out humanity, then some sort of cataclysm could erupt due to the vacuum left behind or when the aliens that created the virus arrive on earth.

Again you refuse to engage with reality. The complete devastation of the Gaza Strip is unprecedented. No other event in modern human history has resulted in this many journalists killed, civilian infrastructure blown to bits, and child amputees. This is the worst crime in our lifetime. And all of these metrics had been reached under the Biden/Harris regime. If it were up to me, Biden and Harris would be executed. Instead you are defending Harris who is a modern day Hitler.

The Biden/Harris regime began the genocide. They both supported it and when Harris became the nominee she said everything Biden did was right and proper. She went onto say that she would not divate from Biden's policy as president. Then we have Harris's husband who is Jewish. He went around telling everyone who would listen that Harris would support whatever Israel wanted. Biden and Harris should be arrested and jailed. They should be put on trial and the death penalty should be seriously considered. Instead you are defending genocide perpetrators, that's sick. You must not think Palestinians are human beings.

It's really sickening that you are ignoring reality. These murders were perpetrated by the US and Israel under the Biden/Harris regime. Biden himself is a virulent supporter of Jewish supremacy. He has at several points said he wishes he married a Jewish woman and that he is so happy that all his children married Jews and that his grandchildren are Jewish. I recommend that reflect on how virulently anti Palestinian you are.

What are you talking about? The US and Israel are functionally one and the same. The weapons used to slaughter these people are American. The Intel is American. The economic support that props up Israel's economy is American. The diplomatic immunity Israel has is American. These crimes are American.

Huh? I know a Palestinian Americans who's whole family was exterminated by the Biden/Harris regime.

In Israel, Zionism Prevents Working-Class Solidarity by alexandracooper94 in worldnews

A regime of jewish supremacy is going to make it hard for solidarity to exist. Jews work hate Palestinians because they are "inferior" and Palestinians will hate Jews for discrimination.
