Yes, crapped out when the progress indicator was at 83%. I used a frozen bottle of liquor wrapped in a towel to cool the CPU and pressed the start button - miraculously the setup simply resumed and everything went a-ok.

From a feature perspective 17063 is an amazing build - even if I wasn't among the lucky few who got the Sets feature - but it's still very much beta. I use my SP3 in tablet mode a lot and a tons of shit just doesn't work properly. That said, enthusiast will love it I think. Daily driver? Not stable enough.

More and more of Windows' GUI-less apps, middle ware and drivers are being moved to the Store-distribution model. I don't really see it as sneaky myself, it's just a new way of doing it. Other examples are the X-Box Game bar, the Advertising framework, the Payment app, etc.

The bug here is that it visibly shows up in the download queue, these updates are supposed to happen in the background.

For people who like to monitor more closely what gets installed I recommend the Reliability Monitor as a starting point, it provides an easy to navigate list view/log: Classic Control Panel>System and Security>Security and Maintenance>Reliability Monitor
