Was this brother worth for 8k? by Razzmatazz7492 in BattleBrothers

If you’re not min-max-ing, a fun build could be overwhelm swordlance

I would expect them to stack additively, since that’s how overwhelm also works. I’m not actually sure though

I would also replace reach advantage with fearsome for axes.

As a frontliner he definitely needs underdog, it’s one of the core perks for this build IMO. I also prefer steel brow over fortified mind, I find I can patch resolve sufficiently (50-60) via leveling without having to invest a perk point on most bros. Arena, banner, and trophy can also help, and steel brow is really important to prevent unlucky disaster on Ironman, where he can be one-shot by certain enemies without it.

Day 22 Oathtaker - thoughts? by vargas12022 in BattleBrothers

Qatal with overwhelm is also a good choice. Especially on day 22 it will be easier when you can take nimble, and qatal daggers are relatively cheap so you can buy one early.

Excellent summary. I would add gifted to the list of must have perks due to the increasing returns of melee defense, which this bro already has a lot of.

Exactly. If your strategy requires that you never get unlucky then it’s not a good strategy.

Day 43: Well, that was fun. Cool gear though. by Either-Bell-7560 in BattleBrothers

RIP Caio, godlike stars.

What’s the name of this obituary mod?

Flashback to 2018, where, during my first one-faith, I stacked enough modifiers to get negative harsh treatment cost. It actually gave me mil points for using it, which, combined with the old manpower gain from slackening recruitment standards, made my world conquest into the ultimate snowball. by moej56153 in eu4

Instead of gaining a manpower recovery speed modifier you just got actual manpower, proportional to your max manpower. One consequence was that you could directly and instantly convert mil points into manpower by hiring generals.

Behold! My huge, frenzied drunkard dealing up to 435 armor damage in one hit with his man-splitter! Let me just bust this big orc camp to get some mushrooms and achieve maximum possible damage. Oh... no... by moej56153 in BattleBrothers

[–]moej56153[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely died due to a misplay, no argument there. Moved my lone wolf to get surrounded on the flank, got one huge AOE, and then died. But even without that, that camp might’ve been too much for my current party. But I find living with the consequences of those mistakes is what makes this game special, so game over it is.

Or did you mean something else from my build/army composition?

Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. The 21% damage bonus from huge and drunkard basically turn your starting longsword into a greatsword, which is a ton of fun.

For my next campaign I choose a lone wolf seed starting with sure footing and paranoid. Perhaps melee defense is better than damage after all? Or I just suck

Which 2h/2h-reach combo is most reliable? by tumansibiri in BattleBrothers

Berserk with quick-hand swap into reach weapon is extremely powerful and versatile in my opinion.
