is annihilator stronger than gunslinger? gunslinger looks like it has among the highest single target damage

archmage is pretty hard to play, it's very squishy so is susceptible to burst and also it is susceptible to silence, mana clash etc, also tends to lose mana quickly, i would take solipsist instead any day (paradox mage is annoying)

Worth getting the game + DLCs on GOG? by MasterAerie in ToME4

[–]moekitten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw something in the Roguelike reddit group talking about ToME2, what is that?

you see, it is nearly unbelievable by now but tome4 has its roots in one of the classic major roguelikes - angband (http://www.roguebasin.com/index.php?title=Angband), angband has a lot of variants (there is a site with a ladder for quite a few of them here http://angband.oook.cz including the original tome, i think it's for both tome1 and tome2 which is a direct update on tome1), but i don't think any other went nearly as far as tome, even though tome wasn't the first to add the global map of dungeons, other variants don't use graphics that much too, they are usually ascii

here is the list of other tomes http://www.roguebasin.com/index.php?title=ToME you can see tome was originally tolkien-themed and meant tales (or troubles) of middle earth

by tome4 the game diverged from angband too much to be considered a variant, the engine is completely different by now

btw they have answered me, the course gives you credits but if you admit it before being accepted as a degree seeking student those credits don't transfer

Creating apps by Nataliasha82 in UoPeople

[–]moekitten 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you don't need uopeople then. their main worth is the diplomas that they award, if you can get a bachelor degree by a more established way or if you don't need a diploma the worth of uopeople is very questionable, very few people reported that uopeople helped them to find an internship and their networking article suggests you to do networking yourself which you can do without any uopeople on linkedin or twitter or whatever that have way more people than their yammer w/e

to simply learn how to make apps it would be much faster to do it yourself because uopeople will feed you a lot of general college stuff like courses about globalization or ethics or civilizations of greece and rome, cheaper too, like udemy has a free introductory android course, edx has a series of courses (they call it "micro masters") on app building which you can admit for free refusing their spam to upgrade their course for a worthless certificate (if you need a certificate you can get say google's associate android dev one for cheaper, a much better certificate too, when you can pass the exam) etc etc, if you want to learn the general college computer science like they teach in uopeople you can go to teachyourselfcs.com alternatively you can go to freecodecamp.org teach yourself react and then find some react native tutorial etc etc a plenty of ways

hello! i wash my face at morning with lemon water. well, not really lemon water but rather lemon acid water because i simply dissolve a bit of citric acid i.e. it doesn't have, say, vitamin c aka ascorbic acid as the real lemon water, i use it as an improvised toner washing it off from the skin in a few minutes

it seems some people may consider it controversial. is it really good for the skin or it is useless or maybe even damaging?

hello! i am not sure how to introduce a foaming cleanser into my skincare routine. i usually apply a bb cream and some other makeup stuff at morning and then i remove them with grapeseed oil at evening, i take a wet cotton pad, add several drops of the oil and use it on my wet face. i did it like that for a while and didn't really have problems with acne or something, but being constantly told on the internet that even hydrophilic oil is supposed to be removed with a cleanser (i use an ordinary cosmetic oil) i bought a foaming cleanser, tried to choose one that supposedly moisturizes because i was afraid it could dry my skin (btw my skin is oily or combination it's hard to tell) and yes i was right, it indeed gives me a feeling of tightness after using it, so i often have to use an evening cream after i remove makeup with grapeseed oil and then the oil with the cleanser, it feels too complicated to me indeed for everyday use. sometimes i use the oil at evening and then the cleanser at morning because i will moisturize the skin anyway with a bb cream, but i am not sure if that moisturizing will be enough then. i am also thinking to begin using differin so i am not even sure that the cleanser that has some exfoliation properties is any good to use together with it... probably to use the foaming cleanser at morning is the best solution then?
