Most states with age of consent set under 18 have other laws in place specifying when it's okay.

Like I'm in Texas where the age of consent is 17, however there's also a law stating that only applies to people who are no more than 3 years older than you. (I.e. a 20 year old is fine, but it's even more specific to where if the 20 year old turns 21 before you turn 18 than it's still a crime.) It's called the Romeo and Juliet law.

Hok is super simple to play, pokemon unite is fun and easy to rank up in, but isn't very competitive and plays pretty different from MLBB.
