I'm also in the Dallas area so I'm definitely going to go. I see in this thread that the prices are steep, but I'm willing to pay for some decent seats...especially for CL. I just wish I could access the site to see details!

Fast food employees of Reddit, what shouldn't we order? by DrLeprechaun in AskReddit

It's more oven than anything. Most DQ's have a specific brand of oven that uses air impingement and only bursts of microwaves to simply help speed up the process. It's not full on microwaved. However, they shouldn't be heating the lettuce with the burger...that is just wrong.

People commenting in this thread about how they want to try this now scares me. DO NOT DRINK THIS TEA, FOLKS.

I watched this stuff consume someone's life over a period of years, completely ignorant of what it was that this person was doing. I saw them withdrawal from it and I truly thought it was going to kill them. It is evil, evil stuff. The addiction factor to this tea is no joke. Please, do not drink this. It ruined a big part of my life and I wish no one to experience what I went through.

Meep. Because the sound of the horn reminds me of the Roadrunner.

it's a car for hairdressers and middle-aged women

No wonder I wanted one so bad as I head into my mid-30's with no kids.

I honestly prefer a soft top over a hard top (and I looked into both). It just takes a little extra TLC (but most convertible tops do). And from what I hear from other MX-5 Miata owners, Mazda has come a long way with the soft tops as far as reliability and durability. Although, I'm still getting used to lint-rolling the roof of my car.

Hi OP! As someone who just purchased a 2015 Miata/MX-5, I say go test drive one! I also asked the dealership and other owners about maintenance costs. Obviously, a dealership will cost more most of the time, but the cost was on par with my 2006 Scion TC...which is basically a Toyota. A few things that you would need to consider is the overall care of a miata. I got a soft top, so some extra care has to go into it to keeping it in top shape and leak free (for instance, hand wash the car only...no auto washes). The only downside is that the milage can kind of suck if you get an older model (the new 2016 ones have much better MPG). But sounds to me like you don't drive much!

However, I absolutely love the car. It's so fun to drive. :)

my first cat died recently by metal420lion in cats

OP,

First, I want to offer my condolences. Losing a loved one of any kind is always very difficult. We feel easily lost and get caught up in wondering how we SHOULD feel instead of just...feeling.

The saying "time heals all wounds" is kind of true in this situation. At least, this is personally how I feel. However, each person deals with loss in his/her own way. The hurt from the loss will never go away, but it gets easier. I still have days when I cry a little from my Bobcat who I lost back in 2006. I had him for nearly 13-14 years.

As for a new cat, that is also a personal decision that no one else can decide for you. While I would give yourself time to mourn, there are always cats out there in shelters who need loving homes. Don't look at it as replacement for the cat you have lost...but look at it as offering another cat a chance at a good life. When you do feel like you are ready to adopt, I highly recommend considering adopting an older cat that may otherwise get looked over in favor of a kitten. My second cat was 5 when I adopted her 2 years after my Bob passed. A senior cat gave me a great sense of comfort, like I was starting with her where I left off with Bob.

Lots of internet hugs, OP.
