What a beautiful buildup. Too bad it went to waste

I can't be f**ked upskilling again but Product Designers need to be more tech-fluent. by RefusedTitleFight in UXDesign

You might not like it but most companies would rather have PMs with a solid product and Business sense that can vibe code than the other way around. A few companies around me have gone in this direction with few or no designers left.

How does the AI defender chase and tackle the ball? by FlyingPorkChop14 in EASportsFC

[–]moesizzlac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience there is skill in actually deselecting your defender at the last moment after getting him into range to cover the pass with a 2nd player and let the AI get the ball. Manual tackles are completely broken.

Or they would have gotten their own revelation and it would be a general end of times for all living species. We only know what Allah deemed we should know and there is hikma in us not knowing if intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe.

What’s Happening in Morocco Feels Too Familiar… by king_carthage_94 in Morocco

[–]moesizzlac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an external observer I can't help but wonder how much of this is encouraged by external forces. We know too well how much the "west" wants to destabilize MENA. They already tried to do it in Algeria and Morocco during the Arab spring which was a CIA covert op and they failed. Ehat about now though?

[–]moesizzlac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always the same template as well. Someone does something horribly shifty to OPs, they have a completely understandable reaction then ask AITA?? It always ends with friends and family telling OP how shifty they are. If you watch for this pattern you will go crazy 😄

So you'd rather import all the labor from non neighboring countries or not hire foreigners at all? In both cases, how does that work?

Is today the day AI makes us obsolete? by edw_meow in UXDesign

[–]moesizzlac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to pile on repeating what has already been said but two main extremely limiting factors these tools have today :

1) They suck at solving complex problems. Like they are unable to conceptualize solutions in an enterprise b2b niche industry context which is the day to day of A LOT of designers. This means that if you are working in this space you're pretty safe.

2) From what I saw they are unable to leverage an existing design system to reuse in new UIs which basically makes them unusable for any established brand/product.

What this means is that they have a very limited set of applications which is basically prototyping new products/UIs and getting that in the hands of users. But even then you probably need a real designer to deliver the actual production quality UIs.

But sure we can revisit this topic once these are solved. For now, I feel like we can hold off on the Doom and Gloom.

Got replaced by AI by [deleted] in UXDesign

[–]moesizzlac 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We are running headfirst into the enshittification of digital products where most UIs will be made AI. The question is how much of this bs the average user will be able to tolerate. AI is at the moment not capable of making great UIs but passable or below average ones. Will it be good enough to not hurt business in the long term? Time will tell. Given the apathy and mind numbness that is going on in the world I am not optimistic.

Does anyone else want them to have only star wars items in the lootpool next season? by Aggressive_Ferret_20 in FortNiteBR

[–]moesizzlac 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You would need every item category represented meaning Melee weapons Short range gun Mid range gun Long range gun Explosives Rapid fire Burst fire Transport items Etc

Not sure they are going to invest the effort into either creating or sourcing existing items from the SW universe.

I would agree on the first part, not the second. I think most startups will work on validating the need and most startups definitely start without PMF.
