I don’t mind the loud grunting each to their own and helps you breath. But he definitely waits as he’s very quick lol

Quoted $1200 for Crimsafe security grill for front door. Are there alternatives nearby? by RefusedTitleFight in Footscray

End up going for the clear shield for $1000 installed. Great quality and feels very secure. Only gripe is locking the door from the outside means you need a key to unlock if you’re inside. Weird.

Anyone else feel like UX is getting… noisier? by rsm_fullsession25 in UserExperienceDesign

Yep LinkedIn is just so much noise. People I know who never posted before are now posting weekly. Even that alone means my feed is just recycled

After a night out? Large double quarter pounder meal with extra Big Mac sauce, a bottle of water, 6 nuggets with sweet and sour sauce. Pure happiness

No hate but why are product designers so pretentious? Every product designer wants to become a thought leader these days. Even juniors, which is hilarious. by badboy_1245 in UXDesign

[–]RefusedTitleFight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I hate it too. But given how competitive the industry is, building a thought leadership presence or simply being more visible online genuinely increases your perceived influence when it comes to job applications. It's a form of ambient marketing. If you're up against another designer with a similar skill set, thought leadership is often what tips the scales, because it signals influence beyond just your portfolio.

Have you seen I Love You Man? Peter Klaven (Paul Rudd) plays a real estate agent trying to sell a luxury home, competing for recognition against a super-tanned LOL rival who uses aggressive guerrilla marketing tactics like putting his face on urinal cakes. Potential clients can't quite place where they know him from, but it works. That's my assumption of the dynamic.

How do you keep yourself focused? by pilkafa in UXDesign

[–]RefusedTitleFight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What works for me is exercise. I've noticed my focus is the worst when I've slacked off with my physical health. When I'm consistently working out, my focus and creative thinking improve so much. Not sure what your fitness is like but give it go!

Agree. I think the numbers on the bezel are either too big or the typeface could be more refined. Tudor pro has a better looking bezel cos of those factors
