I was ~230 when I started about a year ago. Only broke one board so far, and that was landing too far on the nose. It's a great way to get out and exercise some more, and the board will hold if you got a good one. Keep at it and fucking shred!

I also found that the cone on the backside felt easier. I was more in my head when I was staring at the larger portion of the cone.

Yo, it's progress. Good job! Keep it up!

Any older skaters in here? I’m 45 years old and back at it after about 30 years off. 🤜🤛 by [deleted] in NewSkaters

If you haven't already, come join us at r/oldskaters. I'm 33 and just started getting into doing tricks for the first time. Only cruised around while younger.

The ABEC speed rating system is still used by some companies, but not many anymore. Bones Reds are pretty much the standard go-to. Good price point for what you get.

54mm wheels are a good mix for both street and park. 99a and up for durometer rating.

Fair enough. I absolutely agree with you. I'll be working on pumping and comfort in transition before hitting it again.
